Nowadays many self-help books do not offer a lot in the area of Employment choosing instead to demonise it and promote setting own Businesses even though not everyone can travel that route. So this is a very useful book for the working man/woman or those looking to get into work.
The main thrust of this book is that our “name” is our “brand” and to be successful at work (and I would say just about anything) we need to look after our personal brand. Remember people potentially employers see our brand/name and decide if to continue to give us a job. Another reminder here is that a job isn’t for life. We have to work at it!
The section on how we humans communicate was very interesting. As was well the whole book. Very much a self help book for someone in employment or self employed. Not just for the “boss” either. The skills learnt would help in many other ways too. Recommended.
It's straightforward but it makes clear, effective and powerful points.
It can help you achieve a little more with your career.
It makes you question how you are managing your career and gives bits of advice on what to do.
Good for all levels. Junior to higher execs.
