There is a lot of product being sold on Amazon that the MFRs are clearly trying to put out products as cheaply as possible. One way they do this is to make things sized for children. This coffee table is about the height of a normal coffee table when the top is extended. It would be too much of a pain to send back, so I feel stuck with it. At least I can leave a review so the rest of you know what you are getting. This stuff is sized for children not adult Americans. Other than that it is probably fine.

Added more pictures so you could compare a normal sized coffee table to this product. This is compared to a small euro style couch. This table is the same height as a foot stool for my recliner chair.

Amazon should be ashamed to be selling products like this.

Loving this table so far. I put it together myself last night. It was a piece of cake until the very last step, putting the top on, which was...not fun. I found the best way to do it was with the table right side up and the top propped up on a chair and a rolled up blanket (the chair alone wasn't tall enough), and screwing it in that way. This was after I assumed I wouldn't be able to hold the top up and screw it in with the table right side up, so I did it on its side and found that 1, I apparently have short arms, and 2, I put it on backwards and only noticed 8 screws in when the center screw holes didn't line up. So, learn from my mistake, for the sake of your back! That said, had I put it on correctly the first time, it wouldn't have been so bad, and everything would have lined up perfectly. All of the supplies were clearly labeled (with a couple of extras in some bags, which only made me panic a little), all I needed was a phillips head, some muscle, and my phone flashlight. It looks really nice when put together. I was super impressed with the quality of materials, it looks and feels like real wood, and is not flimsy. The top needs to be pulled/pushed from both sides, but is very easy to operate. Storage wise, it holds everything I needed it to. I would absolutely purchase this again, and have my boyfriend put it together :)

I was skeptical at first because some reviews mentiones that the product didnt include everything they needed to build this table. So when i got it, i layed everything out and made sure i had everything i needed... which it did! So here is my list or pros and cons
PROS:
-Had all the parts to build it
-Sturdy "wood" material
-Liked that all the screws/nubs are metal do they're sturdy too
-the legs on this table are sturdy and thick so it gives it a nice look
-Love that you can raise the table! Ill be doing homework in the living room for sure

CONS:
-Was only 1 page of instructions, this could confuse those who are not too building savy
-Wish it was a little more tall so i dont have to bend much when doing hw on it but not a deal breaker

I would definitely recomend this table!!

Ps. Dont spray cleaning spray directly on the inside of the table since its a thin "wood" it left water marks.

Absolutely perfect - a great deal. Sturdy and handsome wood. IKEA type assembly but with labeled board pieces and extra screws.

Very useful. Was looking at other pricier items but this one had good reviews and deservedly so. Very very useful and clean cut coffee table.

Just wish they had more colors. A Grey wood or modern white would have worked better for me.

This table arrived well packaged and on time. Like another reviewer advised, I pulled everything out and made sure everything was included (everything was!). I built it alone and it took me about an hour.

The color is great and for the price the lift part works well. As others have mentioned, it’s not the smoothest opening/closing, but it works. The screws do show, but I plan to order white sticker covers if that bothers us too much. Really happy with this table!

UPDATE: it’s been over a year since we got this coffee table and we still love it! It gets HEAVY use as our dining table, foot rest, and school desk. Over time, the opening and closing mechanism has gotten smoother. I added a new photo with the white screw cover stickers. They blend in perfectly and make it look a little cleaner. 100% recommend!!!

One part of the instructions failed to indicate the front vs back of a board and of course I did it backward. I was able to resolve the issue easily. Other than that, I put this together alone, even the section that says you need 2 people!

This table was exactly what I hoped it to be and it met my expectations. Trust me it would be much easier if 2 people did it but it’s not that difficult for a single person. The instructions which consists of just images but it’s pretty comprehensive. (Scavenger Hunt: I left you a clue on one of the pics. You’re welcome.) I would recommend it. Just be careful how you pull the cover up. Even though it is sturdy the lid doesn’t go up fluently but it’s spring action and it could flip the table open unguided. I give the table an A+. Oh yeah... Go Birds!
