"4/4STARS! Absolutely in the same league as the Harry Potter series. More twists and turns than many mysteries."--Online Book Club

"A free-wheeling, engaging espionage tale that aims to enlighten readers!"--Kirkus Review
From the Author
But words have a funny way of combining into powerful messages, to become deeper, more profound, and more inspiring than even the author intended or expected. It most definitely happened with my novel, The Last Bush Pilots. And the Code Name: Dodger series, I believe, has become just that as well.
One of the writer's oldest maxims is, Write what you know. Well, after a 35-plus year career as an airline pilot, what I know is flying. Moreover, desiring to thrill the avid readers of my aviation books and capnaux.com blog, I decided that as much of Justin's clandestine adventures as possible would take place in the air.
Spying and flying merged to form a new genre--let's call it the "Spy/Fly thriller."
I've also long been fascinated by the Japanese culture and its rich, if violent, history. So, I found its influence constantly creeping into Justin's story, finally culminating in this tale, in which Justin learns the shocking truth of his Japanese ancestry, and does what he must to come to terms with it. I hope that none of us must ever have to confront such demons from the past.
As an aid to the reader, a glossary of spy and foreign terms appears in the back of this book. Also included are historical characters and situations referenced in the story as well.
If you've picked up this volume out of order, don't worry. The Artful Dodger's missions are episodic, and can be read in any order. However, as with any series, the richest experience will come if read chronologically.
