For full disclosure, I currently own two August locks (Homekit enabled) for my rear access garage doors to the house which were purchased over a year ago. The reason I didn't purchase another August lock for our front door is that my wife and I objected to the look of it for our interior entryway - very bulky and "clunky" looking. Since our August locks are "out of main view" as to our home interior, they work just fine for access there and I like having at least one door that has a key access to the home. In the case of this Yale Assure SL lock, the interior mechanism is much nicer looking with our entryway door.
While some have complained that management of pin codes requires manual addition and removal versus the August Lock interface that allows scheduled access tokens to be sent to users - for me, this is really a non-issue. Frankly, I find it extremely convenient to be able to text or communicate with a potential guest either a pin code of their choice or mine to allow access as needed. When that need has ended, it is extremely simple to delete the code via the app. In some ways, I actually think this is a preferable way to manage access since it is so easy to add and delete codes "on the fly".
The lock hardware looks great - both on the door exterior and interior. I have had no problems with functionality at all and I like the ease of use and the touch sensitive display. It works great with the Apple Homekit interface and response well to Siri, either with my Apple Watch or iPhone. I did notice a bit of a delay for the lock to open or close when using Siri, but certainly not a big deal as to use or functionality. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase as now all of my home deadbolt locks now part of my Apple Homekit system.
I would like Amazon to look into this - this problem is costing customers to waste money and lose confidence. Please address this.
Bottom line - for the price and HomeKit integration, I expected a LOT more.

This is a great lock, but there are a few things I'd like to see that could maybe be added through app updates or firmware updates:
1. Auto-expiring pass codes.
2. Pass codes should be named in the app so you know whose is whose.
3. Pass codes should be hidden by default on the code screen. If you happen to go into the app and you've left it on the pass code screen previously, you'll be taken back to that screen and anyone looking over your shoulder would immediately see all your codes (except for the master code which does not show anywhere).
4. The app should maintain a log of lock and unlock events with names and timestamps. If there was ever any unauthorized entry using a code, it would be nice to be able to check the logs to see which code was compromised.
Aside from that wish list, great lock!
Cierre remoto muy fácil
De buena calidad
App muy sencilla y funcional
Integración simple a HomeKit
Mejoras en la app sobre las notificaciones de apertura y cierre, a veces no llegan.
This is quite frankly the worst smart home product, and product period, that I have ever purchased. The hardware seems fine, but the software has been an absolute nightmare for me ever since I purchased. Issue after issue after issue. I tried purchasing the Connected by August module to help it, and it did make some things better but was another $160, and still had issues. Absolutely ridiculous.
