This is a very cool and convenient instrument. It’s super easy to hold and came with a decent setup. It’s great if you want to bridge the gap between guitar and ukulele. Great for practicing in tight spaces. Great to be able to make regular guitar chord shapes with a ukulele sound. I’ve always been a fan of Yamaha’s quality for the price point. I agree with another reviewer since I ordered two of these at the same time, one natural color and this black one. The natural colored one seemed like it had a better finish and overall looked like a better instrument. I ordered the natural one as a gift and now wish I ordered myself the same one. I got the black for myself since I have a Yamaha folk guitar in black and thought it would be cool if they matched. However my guitar is a glossy black and this is flat black. The nut on this one was slightly smaller than the neck so you can see bare unpainted wood on each side of the nut, you wouldn’t notice that on the natural one since it would blend in better. The neck looks like it was cut crooked. I just should have purchased two natural colored ones. I actually paid extra for the black and that hurts a bit. However don’t hesitate to get one, they are great fun for the price. It also comes with a nice gig bag. Mine came straight from Japan and arrived two weeks early which was a welcomed surprise.
PS I gave it a low star review because of the bad condition mine came in.
