I received a Yamaha Keyboard as a 'free gift' from store for some house hold purchases I made at Christmas in 2012. Unfortunately the store did not sell AC Power Adapters. Getting Yamaha AC Power Adapters was not possible in my country. So I bought one on which the voltage could be adjusted and it looked like it could be used for phones as well. But I did not ask. Some people informed me that these things go bad really quickly. Not cool! So said so done. By March the adapter went bad. Looking around in my country for a yamaha adapter proved futile again. So I ordered this one form Amazon. It fits properly and works like a dream. Personally, I felt if it's a Yamaha keyboard why use anything but a Yamaha AC adapter? I will update in a few months time.

Yes, I got a Yamaha.
I am not sure what happen with the other reviewers, but I got a Yamaha adapter. I did notice that the ones that got the generic brand ordered them around November 2011 so perhaps there was a glitch or holiday shortage during that time? Shipping was amazingly fast. I ordered on Saturday and received it on Tuesday. I bought mine off the actual Amazon site and not one of the off-site vendors. The cord is about 6 1/2 feet long and came in the Yamaha packaging. The Yamaha brand is stamped onto the adapter in case there is any doubt. I tested the adapter on my Yamaha YPG-235 keyboard. It works. I really wish it was included with the actual keyboard, but it seems like this is a common sentiment amongst all the reviewers. Aside from that, there is not much else to tell.
