I used this pump as part of a drip-water system for a balcony cat/herb garden that gets full afternoon sun with surface temps rising to 120° in the height of summer. Because I needed the system to water multiple plants in the same planter and didn't want a ton of tubing all over the place, I ran one length of tubing across each planter, sealed the ends with a dab of plumbers caulk, and poked holes through the tubing at 2-3 inch intervals. I am writing this review after about 5 weeks of constant use on a watering schedule of 60-90 seconds of water 5 or 10 times/day.
First, I was worried about the battery pack/control unit being overheating and/or getting wet outside, but I have had no issues with that in it's position against the balcony railing.
Second, the only drawback to the pump itself is that it's really easy to knock the individual tubes out of the pump connector. For this reason, I try not to jostle the pump.
A benefit to most people (but a drawback for me) is that the tubing will self-seal any holes and cracks when it gets warm. I have progressed from pin-holes to phillips-head screwdriver holes to keep my system watering consistently.
Finally, the unit takes 4 doube-A batteries and beeps when the battery power is low. I replaced the batteries for the first time yesterday, so they lasted about 5 weeks. This is a short time if you're using this pump year-round, but I am only using it for high summer so 3-4 battery changes is not an extreme cost for keeping my herbs alive.
As for actual function, the pump works as described and appears to water on schedule without problem. Setting the schedule is not intuitive, but it is very easy once you know how. It does use a 24-hour schedule with no option to set a specific time of day to water or not water. This was disappointing at first, but watering overnight gives the plants more time to absorb the water, so it's actually a benefit.

runs very well, long battery life, robust compartment. Separate outlets for each line (rather than daisychain) provides equal and ample volume for each destination. I still wish the tubing supplied actually fit (hence deducting one star), but that shortcoming is easily overcome, and the unit performance has been excellent.
unit pumps water competently, but setup is very frustrating -- the tubing does NOT fit the outlets (I had to re-engineer the connections using heat-shrink tubing at the ends), the kinks in the tubing from packaging are just about impossible to straighten (making insertion into the water bucket and leads to the plants finicky). programing is easy (though not as described in the installation booklet). water flow is good, and presuming the tubing will stay in place, installation once conquered is not a long-lived problem. The unit is fashioned from cheapish plastic, but then again its price is low. I hope its lifetime is reasonable.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 20 de diciembre de 2021Great for vacations! I have a few plants that I need to keep watered while I am away and this is a nice set up for doing that. It is easy to set up, just cut the tubes and attach them to the unit. The unit fits on a 5 gallon bucket. It is powered by AA batteries. The pump just about reaches the bottom of the bucket. It's a couple inches short but this should still be plenty of water. You choose how many seconds you want the unit to run and how often; i.e. everyday, or every two days, etc. You don't have to use all the ports either but it has ten. So this will cover ten plants or you can group some in a tray or container and water from the bottom as I plan to do for mine. So far it is working quite well. I'm testing mine out before I leave so hopefully there aren't any surprises.

Calificado en Estados Unidos el 28 de noviembre de 2021I got this thinking I might use it indoors this winter but honestly I'm not sure I trust it enough and I realized I didn't want a ton of hoses running everywhere. It might be useful indoors if I was going on holiday for awhile and didn't have someone to water the plants but I would also have to test it for at least a week before I went to ensure I had the right amount of water to avoid soaking and over watering.
That said I hope this will be useful in the Summer when I put all my houseplants outside so I've tested it and will come back in the Spring once I set it up.
My observations when testing:
This is noisy when it runs. Now, odds are you will only have it running for 20 seconds at a time or so. So it may not be too much of an issue. But worth noting. Flow was about what I expected.
Runs on 4 AA batteries which are in a compartment that needs to be *screwed* shut. Don't understand how they couldn't have done this with a clip-shut back.
The intake hose is too short for a 5 gal bucket (which is the size one should use for this kind of system. You can get them at any feed store or hardware store). Even fully stretched out (which you would have to do with some kind of weight to get maximum length as it wants to curl up) the intake hose is at least one full inch from the bottom of the bucket. I tried it with a 3 gallon bucket and it did sit on the bottom but that wouldn't last a week for my plants in the summer. Why have something that I have to fill with nearly the same frequency as I would need to water anyway?
The set up for frequency of watering is mildly confusing. I couldn't figure out why it has 2 timing settings so I'll have to fiddle with that when I actually set it up.
So giving 3 stars for now. Once I set the whole system up in the Spring and run it a bit I'll come back and update if I have any revelations.
