I've waited damn near a year for this book, and I was not disappointed! This is a true prequel in that the story goes back to the very dire beginnings of who Selita Hilton is and how she came to be known as La Femme Selita.
If you are new to this series, this book can technically be read first before reading La Femme Selita because the ending to this book is basically how La Femme Selita begins, and I thought that was so cool. But I really recommend reading La Femme first then reading this one, because to see how the events unfold is just mind-blowing and gives you that "a-ha" feeling.
What I love about Yellow Ghost is there is a step-by-step timeline of events that lays out the evolution of Selita from childhood, to young adulthood, to the badass killer we know her to be today. This book is not a romance per se, although there are a few romantic elements. This is a high-stakes, kickass story about a trained female assassin and how she came to be. It's often cold and calculating and at times, oh hell nah, no way, but that's what's so fun about reading stories like this. Another great effort from Lolah Lace. Click it up!
