Pilot Episode would not play

I waited for over a month to get this on pre-order. After all the great feedback I have heard about this series I was glad to see it finally came in the mail. Unfortunately, I can not play the first episode. I tried several times but it will not play by selecting "play all" or selecting individual episodes. The second episode plays correctly and that is far as I got so far. I thought that this being a Limited Edition set it would be of better quality. I will probably just buy the first season by itself and watch it from the first episode because I am too lazy to send it back and wait for another one.

We love the series so far. I pre-ordered the limited edition in Oct to give my husband for Christmas. We get all the way to needing to put in disc 4 of season 2 to finish the season, well we got 2 disk 3s. So disappointing. He works 6-10s so our Saturday nights are the only time we have together and this was really disappointing. Called Amazon and they wanted to just refund me for the 1 episode, you can't just purchase that disk, after 3 times on multiple minutes of hold, then asking for a supervisor they gave me credit to purchase season 2. So frustrating, I know it isn't their fault, but it isn't my fault either. WORST experience with Amazon customer service EVER!!! Series is great, this experience was VERY DISAPPOINTING!

Can’t wait for Season 4. Love the story, scenery and characters. Lots of bad language which isn’t that necessary. The “F” word is in every characters vocabulary. The story is as old as time. Greed and wanting what someone else has. Drama. Interesting and leaves you wanting more.

I was told that this series was a very good one & I absolutely agree. The characters are believable, intense & the scenery breathtaking. I don't stream or download so opted to buy the series instead. Packaging was ok, however, the dvds don't really attach themselves correctly and package pieces break easily. Poor design. Now, the show throws out tidbits of each character, not knowing where they are headed,(and the actors don't know either), towards good or evil. That is the basis for the interaction, but, the main story is to save a huge ranch from developers, Native Americans who want the land because it was theirs prior to the cattle ranching and some notorious evil people. The family, the Duttons Yellowstone Ranch, do whatever is necessary to hold onto the land. I will not say anymore but to caution you that there are some extremely violent encounters especially in season 2. All the actors are on top of their game. A special mention has to go out to Kelly Reilly who plays Beth, Kevin Costner's dysfunctional, angry, abrasive, tough daughter who no one wants to tangle with. Her acting is superb and should be recognized as one of the iconic characters created by Taylor Sheridan. Huge recommendation for this series which works like a movie!

This movie was definitely not for younger viewers - as a matter of fact, I'm 75 and I found it too graphic for my taste. It is a good movie with good actors, Kevin Costner of course being the best, however, the content of the movie, while the plot was great, I did not appreciate the way that the women in the movie came off. If this is truly the way women are in a "man's" world, then God help us. Women do not have to act like this in order to get ahead in this world, providing they can actually do the job. The female characters (most of them with only a few exceptions) came off as disgusting pigs. I truly hope that this is not the way women are headed.

So I bought this for my grandma she lives out in the country it's a 2 and a half hour ride ride cost 180$ no cell service or internet well there's internet but satellite even then she pays by gig I should have checked them but they were brand new and all 3 seasons have 12 or something discs but she just tried to watch them today the 1st disc of course not working so far but she comes and shop the 15th hopefully I can exchange or refund to re buy
