Unusable for 1" bars

Good quality foam pad, but pretty much unusable for the standard 1" bar. It's too big. It rotates, making it very hard to use. So when you try to squat, it rotates so that the seam goes to the bottom, the bar falls into the seam and lays on your back. The net effect is like squatting with no pad.

It's usable for a couple of exercises (e.g. I do seated calf raises with the bar laying on my quads).

It would probably make a good pad for the olympic bars, but not for the 1" bars. They shouldn't advertise it for use with 1" bars.

I would've returned it, but unfortunately tried it after the 30 days return period.

So I’m not sure why some reviewers are talking about it won’t stay put and it rolls...it’s round and placed over a round bar...doesn’t take complicated math to figure out it will move. When doing a squat your hands on the bar should stop it from rolling...not a pad. Also, don’t understand why some of these reviewers need to make a point to say how much weight and how many reps they were doing with it. Doesn’t matter at all. Either way I digress. I own two of these. I use them for padding when doing front squats and put them on my safeties on my power rack for cushioning. In both instances these pads work great. Reduces damage to both my equipment and my body. Highly recommend these...unless you can’t squat and wanna blame a pad for it. 😂

Awesome product. Velcro is great doesn’t come apart when exercising, it has heavy duty fabric around and inside the whole thing. I’ve used it probably 7 times now and no sign of breaking apart. Does exactly what I need it to. I use it on the smith machine or Olympic bb for hip thrusts. Saves me from getting bruises all over my hips. I can push more weight now than using a bunch of rolled up towels from the gym lol.

This thing is terrible. It really is. I use standard 1" barbells for my workouts. This thing does not fit those bars. I cannot speak for Olympic bars as I do not own any. On 1" bars this thing rolls around turning your barbell into a massage roller. A 200lb massage roller. Using this led to me actually pulling my neck and being unable to squat for 2 weeks. I switched to a reehut and that thing is incredible. Please, skip this trash and get another brand.

I use this for heavy barbel back squats (my working set is about 5 reps of 400 pounds). I was getting tired of bruised shoulders and cysts from squatting without any cushioning, so I found this. It does fit onto my standard sized 45 pound olympic barbell, but the main problem is that it won't stay put. It doesn't move from side to side exactly, but when I am squatting with it, it will slide and rotate on the barbell and sometimes rotate to where the opening of the squad pad meets my shoulder, causing the pad to slide out of the barbel. This actually can create a bit of a dangerous situation when in the middle of a heavy squat. I've managed to avoid this issue with a bit of practice and making sure to position the pad at a certain angle before each set to where it won't rotate into the opening, but I feel like there needs to be a better way to secure this to the barbell.

This does work fairly well with some practice. It provides adequate cushioning - actually probably too much cushioning for heavy barbell squats to where the thickness of the pad causes me to have to adjust my form a bit. But it still works better than the towel method I was using before, and it's a much higher quality product that most other pads I've tried which just fall apart. I've found this product to be extremely durable.

If this had slightly thinner cushioning and fit more securely onto the barbell, this would definitely be a 5/5.

I bought this pad to do barbell hip thrusts with. This is my favorite glute building exercise, and I got this when my gym didn't have pads available. I like to go pretty heavy (205 5x12) and this pad helps protect my hips so I never get bruises or feel uncomfortable. The velcro snugly fits the pad around standard barbells, and it is easy to attach and reposition without shifting around too much. My gym now had free bar pad rentals, but I still like to bring my own for sanitary and comfort.

As it was explained to me - when I lift dumbbell weights (i.e. 10 lbs) I'm lifting it for the entire range of motion. Then my Carpal Tunnel syndrome acts up and I'm in paid for 2-3 days. I ordered this and as the doctor said - the weight is distributed with the range of motion so when you are at the peak contraction, that is when you have the maximum weight. The tubes are color coded and labeled with the weight. Each tube has a different weight. Kit comes with a bag for traveling, clips at the end of the tubes to use on the handles, can add more weights via tubes. So far, so good. Also comes with ankle straps and a device to use over your door so you can use it for overhead exercises. Much better than the exercise tubes I have previously purchased

Best bar pad I’ve ever owned. Surprisingly hard to find where I live. I’ve had others but for glute bridges with several hundred pounds stacked on the bar, my bones would literally be bruised. Even with a pad. Not this one, people ask me all the time what it is (it’s somewhat large). I’ve been asked if it’s a rolled up yoga mat, but truly it’s just a extra padded bar pad and I love it. Great price and seems very durable. I’ve been using for a few months now and haven’t noticed any signs of wear and tear.

El pad no alcanza a abrazar al 100% la barra y queda un espacio, cuando haces hip trust se puede mover el pad y la barra queda en contacto con el cuerpo. La recomendaría para barras más delgadas.

Although it fits and closes well around the barbell, the pad itself is not thick enough and does not help when using it during heavy lifting barbell workouts. When doing hip thrust workouts, the pad moved around the barbell and the non-padded area ended up on my pelvis and the pressure from the barbell hurt.
