Some serious problems with this unit.
It could be fixed, not sure if worth it.
Would rather have had the whole pull up bar as one piece, and not slip joints that is really loose, held together with a suspicious looking bolt/nut.
I was looking at the pull up bar more closely, and it's terrible. A lot of the welded plates are so warped, it's ridiculous. I laid a straight edge on the plates/mounts, and there's a huge gap. It shouldn't be like this, no matter the price point. Warped metal is a sign of a very bad weld. Too much heat, bad welds, and just plain wrong. I've uploaded photos of the warps as well.
Next, the support brackets are based upon 16 inch wide support studs so if you have studs of different dimensions (not common) then plan accordingly. If you will be installing in concrete or other materials you will need significant anchors.
Now, notice the long bar...it's NOT a single solid piece but is actually secured in the middle by hardware. Additionally, the hand grips are not the best - plan on putting some tape on them especially if you use frequently or workout hard. Seriously, you will want and need the tape.
So, is this worth it? Well, I have a relatively small Marcy bench and rack with built in chin up bar which is great but I got tired of having to move the weights for pull ups...so for the thirty dollars delivered (at the time of this writing in March of 2015), this was worth it. I couldn't really justify a higher price and this will get the job done with some tweaking. On the other hand, I'm not all that big...personally, if I were big/heavy this would NOT be the bar...at any price. I don't think it would hold up.
I mounted this in my garage. I pre-drilled the holes (I forget the size I used, I just matched the bit to the screw). I then used my socket ratchet to put the screws in. Once it was mounted on the wall it has been real solid. I weight a bit over 200 lb and it holds up just fine.
The one thing I wish this had was a longer extension from the wall. It just seems it's a tad bit close and doesn't give as much freedom as you would think.
The wall studs in my garage are 16" apart. This causes an issue with the grips. As shown in the picture you have center drips. However, that is the wider configuration which I don't have. So you either have close grip pull ups or semi wide pull ups. Since I just started working out again I'm still working on completing a single pull up on my own but I'm hoping to have that down soon.
Finding someone to install it to the side of my house was a bit of a project, but once installed, it feels really sturdy. The clearance on the outermost setting allows me to do kipping/butterfly pullups and toes to bar without an issue and I'm 6'4.
Really great product for half the price that Rogue charges.

What's not to love? It's sturdy and grippy and it gives me plenty of clearance.
Definitely recommend using chalk for the first few uses as the coating is a little slick if you're sweaty!
