This is a low cost, great for the hobbyist power source.
Since it is a switching power supply, it is extremely lightweight, sometimes even too light.
Once upon a time, I worked as a Electrical Engineer with a startup company, in the mid's of a design project.
The design was with lightweight in mind and a fellow worker complaint about the weight, because the tension on the power on switch was high enough to move the device over the desk. I suggested to put a few bricks into the enclosure, nobody would ever notice, if properly secured, hi, hi.
They should have done something like that with this one, cause you'll have to secure it by hand when you press the power switch!
Now to the more serious part:
The accessories e.g. test / connection leads come in handy and you don't have to manufacture proper leads yourself.
The output of the supply, measured with an accurate DMM is exceptionally close to the displayed value on the supply.
Course adjustments are reasonable, however the fine adjustment may require a steady hand, but it is manageable.
As I remember, there are Lab Supplies that are 10 to 20 times the cost and the only difference is actually just the ripple and perhaps a little smoother adjustments.
For a hobby electronic project or for any other purpose that requires a stable DC supply, you can't go wrong with this one.
As I am retired, it is hard to tell at this time how durable it is, since I use it only on some rather rare occasions.
A great feature and actually the reason I purchased it, was the current limiter.
Sometimes, you may want to set the current limiter on new circuits built from scratch, since one can easy overlook a possible short on the PCB.
You'll know how much current the circuit should draw, but don't know if the PCB is alright. Then the current limit is just what you need.
Granted, you could inspect it for hours if not days to find shorts, maybe only visible with a Microscope.
This is much faster to verify and won't destroy your prototype circuit, in most cases, that is!

Again for the cost, it is a great supply and anyone that needs a DC supply, should have one of those.
The voltage range will provide you with pretty much anything you might need.
The max current is far beyond what one would need these days for small to medium electronic circuits.

I wanted a variable power supply and this on does that. I had hoped the voltage and current adjustment controls were encoders but no... they are potentiometers. This means that you need to set the fine adjust to midpoint before you adjust the course knob. Will take some getting used to. There is plenty of travel if you get within say a volt or a volt and a half of your desired level. I had also hoped the display would shift the decimal point based on which knob I was using to adjust the voltage or current, but it stays at xx.x across the entire range of adjustment.

It seems to be stable. Once the voltage is set it has been pretty consistent. I did charge a LiFePo4 battery using the current limit at 2.0 Amps and the Voltage set point at 14.6 and it performed as expected.

All in all, a decent cheap bench supply that will fill my needs minus a few nice options.

I bought this unit in order to charge one of a series of high capacity 6 volt deep cycle lead acid batteries which are part of my off-the-grid solar power system. I'm using it to try to over charge the weak battery for the purpose of de-sulfating the weak (low voltage, low hydrometer reading) battery. I quickly learned that the alligator clips/ clamps are too wimpy for connecting to the battery terminals: too much heat was generated, there was substantial voltage drop and generally the connection was inadequate. I replaced them with larger clips and this problem was solved. Also, sometimes it failed to turn on; monkeying with controls has always solved this. Finally, a last nitpick: the manual is perhaps the worst english translation I've ever muddled through!

DECENT POWER SUPPLY FOR REPAIR/DIY BENCH

As others have stated the included test leads are pure junk. The little power supply is very nice. The display matches my fluke DVM exactly. The directions are a little vague about the constant current mode.

This supply is not responsive like a linear power supply, when you turn the adjustment knob it takes a small amount of time for the voltage to change.

The unit is very light in weight, it feels like the box must be empty but it works so I guess it's not empty.

There are several units on Amazon that all appear to be the same unit from China, many of them are lower priced than this one from Yescom. There is no Yescom brand on the actual unit so I suspect it is just a product resold by many, in which case I'd look for one of the cheaper ones that appear to be the same.

10 amps is quite a bit of current but I have no reason to believe this piece can not deliver it. I'm keeping it. You can never have too many power supplies for DIY projects.

This power supply good for the money but has some flaws. The seller is more than cooperative and willing to solve any problems.

The voltage source function works really well! And ive had no issues useing it for max current operations so far, but have yet to test it on max current for longer periods of time past a few minues.
The current limiting function is where problems appear. It only opperates in current limiting when you are in a sweet spot that is never the current you desire. When you are not in this sweet spot it toggles back and forth between current limiting and voltage limiting. This creates a very noisy output of voltage peaks and drobs above the set voltage by around 1 volt. (2 volts vpp)As seen by an osiluscope.

For this reason the current limiting feature is ideal for a safty, but unacceptable for sensitive electronic projects.

The voltage control feature on the other hand is acceptable for fairly sensitive electronics from what I've seen. I also have not seen voltage spikes on the output when the unit is turned on.

so far... so good. it's a cheap alternative to full featured lab supply. it does what it claims. knobs could have been ten turns but hey... it's cheap. having said that i find it quite sturdy and functional as a backup supply. the only down side is the knobs... very easy to overshoot with them. all in all i'm quite happy with it. i do think there are cheaper versions of this supply though. should be able to get the same one branded differently for a little cheaper.
