Book coverage is different and too few values
Book coverage is not the same as at description. See photo, what I've got really. Too few values for resistors and in particular capacitors. As you may see at photo, after 10 nf capacitors next is only 100 nf. But where are 22 nf, 47 nf and 68 nf ?

Previously I bought my SMD components as I needed them -- some 10k resistors here, some 1nf capacitors there, that sort of thing. That's both an inefficient and expensive way to do it. Purchasing this binder gave me a great assortment of 0805 components. The product description lists the values so I won't both to list them in my review. The binder itself seems to be well constructed, the pages are durable, and the pockets hold the component tapes well. It's labeled in a clear and concise manner. Even if you only need a few 0805 components, this is a great book to buy so you have an assortment for future projects.

If you know how or are learning how to do SMD repair, you need to get a resistor and capacitor kit that has just about all the sizes you could need. I was able to get the one, tiny little 2.7k ohm resistor I needed from the kit, and repair an expensive radio to working perfectly again. It tested right near 2700 ohm out of circuit, so the tolerance claim is probably true. The binder storage (like baseball cards) is perfect, and you can keep it in the included ziplock to keep the humidity away. Highly recommend this kit over the cheaper loose ones as this one will have the more obscure resistor or cap ratings you need for a repair.

I had recently purchased 0603 sample kits from Mouser & Digikey, but needed some additional capacitor & resistor values. Quickly. On a whim, I went to Amazon and searched for SMD component kits. The VxW kit came up, and just based on what I typically pay for components kits from larger electronics distributors, the VxW was less than half the price. In a sense, it seemed like too low a price to be believable, but a low enough price to say "nothing ventured, nothing gained". After the kit arrived, I have to admit, I am very impressed, The sample book format is very compact, nicely put together, and clearly labeled. VxW has reset my expectations as to what a component kit should be. As I write this, I'm going through some of their other offerings to find out what other gems they might offer.

I needed a few specific-value SMD resistors, and I was about to order just what I needed, but then I decided to look and see if there were kits of standard values. I settled on this Resistor and Capacitor set.

When I received it, I was pleased to see that it was exactly what was shown in the pictures.
The parts are fully loaded into the book, and all the strips are in pre-labeled pockets.

I popped out the ones I needed and continued working. Perfect!!

Anyone who does custom SMD prototyping should get one of these books.
