I didn't give this video 5-stars because the 10-minute intro confused me and I thought it was a waste of time. It was 5 full minutes of the instructor showing off what poses he can do with a light display going on, then another full 5-minutes of him talking about Yoga. I actually thought that it was a voiceless video at first and started trying to do the intro poses.

Other than the into. . . This video has a long start up time with slow stretches that I assume are intended to be a warm up, but is good overall. I'm a beginner/intermediate and found this video fairly difficult. It went into the poses and held them for several minutes each, which is something a lot of videos don't do. This wasn't a workout that made me sweat, although having to hold the poses for so long did give me a much different look at yoga. I would consider this video too difficult for a beginner if for no other reason than the fact that holding the poses for such a long time is extremely difficult and getting to the point where you are able to complete the video without falling out of poses will require work.

I would say this video is best used to work on poses, but not necessarily as a good every-day yoga workout video. I will probably throw this video into the mix and use it once a week just to work on poses.

This is a great video that is not for a beginner in yoga but for intermediate or advanced. It goes through basic prep poses for shoulder and head stand plus much more. It is a great workout... I would recommenced this to anyone who enjoys doing yoga.

Have to agree with some of the other reviewers in a few things:

-Opening is strange with him just doing poses for a bit instead of doing instruction
-There is literally a part where he tells you that you are going to now do down dog for "two minutes"
-It's best for improving your technique or building up to some more advanced inversions

Glad I rented it, might buy it in the future, but now I'm looking for DVDs with an hour program I can follow. if that's what you're looking for check out stephanie snyder and oliver reinsch.

I'm coming back to yoga after doing it casually years ago. I've only been doing the first level of this workout so far, and it's pretty intense. If you're a beginner, just be aware that you'll have learning curve, but stick with it and this should be a great video that you can grow with for some time.

I needed a yoga video for my iPad because I travel so often for business. This is hard, yet simple. I feel as if I have completed a very effective work out, whether I have done session 1 or 2... sometimes I even do both.

This video was way too slow for me. Plus, I expected a continuous flow through out the 1hr+ video. What I got instead were segmented bits of poses, causing me to stop and wait for the next set to continue my practice. Most frustrating is that each set starts anew (in child's pose etc). Never using this video again.

Not enough instruction. You had to look too much at TV. It didn't flow well. But poses were nice and the holds were longer than most vinyasa.
