Cliff is list. Eve, or Milo. Gay or straight. Architect or graphic designer, yoga instructor or painter.
Eve has been on autopilot. Her job is infuriating, her relationship unsatisfying and her future is blank.
Milo is tired of waiting. Of being in limbo and in love with a man who doesn't know what he wants. Milo doesn't know what he needs.
The truth is, that they are all destined to be a part of something greater than themselves. If only they can find the courage, the patience and the enthusiasm.
I loved reading this story, but I felt let down by a couple of things. The ending is far too abrupt. It was such a journey, the final obstacle overcome, and then on the same page is the untitled epilogue.
There are also parts that I think might have been edited out. Or just missing. There are sometimes progressions in the story that are explained with a brief comment and we're actually worthy of a scene.
Having said that, I couldn't put this book down.
I like any kind of book (esp romance) where the main character isn’t exactly who they start out seeming to be. She is fine communicating, while Milo and Cliff (the sexy yoga instructor) have trouble telling her what’s going on with them. Actually, it’s Cliff who has the most trouble because his problems run deeper than the others’. For such a zen guy, he’s got the most hang-ups.
All three characters are appealing, we get three POVs. The pacing is good. There is one hugely annoying hanging plot thread though, involving Cliff’s son. It’s not enough to knock off a star, but it didn’t feel resolved to me, and that’s a distraction from the story.
Overall, a pleasant romp, nice sex scenes, and boy, do I want to visit that venue the wedding (not the main characters’ wedding!) takes place at.
Nicole Stewart has done it again. I love her books. Each one is a little different. I read this book in one sitting. It was so good I couldn’t put it down. The chemistry between Eve, Cliff and Milo was Hot, Hot, Hot. As happens in most threesomes, there is an adjustment that needs to be made in the the thinking of each involved. It is hard enough being with one person let alone two. Ms. Stewart real make each book different and amazing. This is one of my favorite book so far.
