After about 6 months though, the unit is quite moldy. No matter how well you try to dry it off, it still grows mold pretty easily. That would be my only complaint (though its a pretty big one). My son tries to grab the base and put it in his mouth (since the hose length is not that long, it's easy for kids to grab ahold of the base, hose, etc.), and of course I panic and pull it away quickly with fear of him ingesting any mold. At this point, I do not use it that much because it has mold now growing out of the sprayer head. I'm not comfortable with using it on my son's skin and hair. I will have to replace the current one or buy another type all together.
To sum up my review:
PROS:
-Easy to maneuver sprayer
-Gentle stream of water to gently wash a baby's delicate head, but strong enough to rinse soap and shampoo off
-Cute (not scary) character design to appeal to little ones
-Battery powered, so no recharging or plugging in (and batteries are well protected in unit)
CONS:
-Grows mold pretty easily (even with proper cleaning and drying)
-Have to have a certain amount of water in tub/sink for water suction to work (sometimes more than you would really want for a little tiny baby)
-Hose length a little short (for my liking at least)

Great Concept, But a Few Flaws

When bathing my son (he was just about a 1.5 months at the time), I was trying to find something that would be a quick and easy way to wash his hair and body without pouring a bucket of water over him (and all over his face). I came upon this product and was thrilled! The first time I used it, it took quite a while to get the water to be properly suctioned into the sprayer (It can be a little tricky sometimes). And there has to be a certain amount of water in the tub or sink in order for it to work properly. Overall though, it did exactly what I needed: it provided a shower sprayer that was gentle enough for my son's head and body, but had a strong enough stream so I was able to quickly rinse the soap off his hair and body so he could spend the rest of bath time playing with his bath toys (he's now just shy of 8 months).By KLP on November 29, 2019

In addition, it was always frustrating because it would be spraying water great, and then if the base came out of the water while spraying, it wouldn’t spray anymore until you lifted it out of the water, shook all the water out, then resubmerged it.
2 stars, because it’s a great idea and my son loved it, but its not safe with mold growing inside :(

grows MOLD inside

Parents beware: I wanted to love this. My son LOVED this. But the last few times I used it I noticed these little black thin film like things floating in the water. Thought it might have been dirt or something washing off his feet. Then I noticed after the toy dried, it had one of these black film like things coming out of the nozzle (see image) so then I realized it had to be in the internal tubing. I had to cut it open and destroy the product to discover the BLACK MOLD growing inside the tube 😭 (see other image) - I was always careful after each bath to really shake out the water but there is just no way to let the internal tube dry out so I fear this is unavoidable with this product. we’ve been using it for about 7 months.By Amazon Customer on May 17, 2020

Great product to use while bathing kids

Great tool to use while giving kids a bath and needing a tool to wash them. My 3 year old was very excited by it and use it as as a toy to wash all his bath toys as well as washing his body by himself. my only suggestion is to make the tube part longer. This product is useful and fun for everyone.
