But little has been said about their role as keepers of a city's past. I thought this book would have more text then it does. Its just pictures. I thought it would tell the story of city blocks or neighborhoods from the perspective of the tree that's been there forever. Not the case, just a bunch of nice pictures.

If you love trees and you miss New York, this is the ideal book! He gives the species of each tree and some facts about it, and the tree's history when it's known. But you can also just look at the pictures.
