Editorial Reviews

Recorded two months prior to his death, this album contains nearly forty minutes of previously unreleased stand-up material. It pulses with Mitch's inimitable wit and spirit, it's a document of a comedy master, and it's a treat for all those who were afraid they'd never get to hear another great Hedberg joke.

Newcomers to Mitch Hedberg's work and fans of wonderfully random inspired one-liner comedy will love this album.

Those others of us such as myself who have teased out all of his possible albums, That 70's Show appearances, Jimmy Johns commercials and internet-pressed botlegs will also love this album, being the dedicated won-over souls that we are.

Despite a fair deal of "old" material on this album (the odd one-liner that will be familiar, but a classic) there's enough new material and random off-hand banter that was Mitch's befuddled trademark to sustain it.

The album will serve to remind every fan of just how much this unique comedian, who really didn't just entertain but make people happy, is and will be missed.

I am big fan of Mr. Hedberg. The album material is very honest about its content that it is a rough draft. It is 39 minutes long. Though the material is not all good, it is a pleasure to hear him again with almost all new material. I especially enjoyed aspects of its "rough draftness", how he handled hecklers (which is a real highlight of the album) how some of his jokes bombed but how he recovers with wit and honesty. There is a great deal of his material that is as good as his previous stuff and overall I am glad I have this.

I saw Mitch live two times shortly before his early death. I was planning on seeing him again at a show scheduled two months after his death. I would have seen him way more had I known what was going to happen. This CD is awesome! Mitch was at his best when his material did not work, and most of this was a rough draft so a lot of it didn't work. He was the man when it came to admitting these kinds of things. I only remember one joke he told at a show I saw that I wish had made it on this set. I would go into a description of it but it just isn't funny without hearing Mitch tell it himself. Maybe there are some other recordings out there that can be pieced together so it can see the light of day. Anyhow, this cd is awesome and should be purchased by any even mild Mitch Hedberg fan.

You're going to really like this album based mainly on a sense of nostalgic dread, knowing that this is some of the last material Mitch Hedberg conjured up in that wild head of his before his untimely passing. The spark of hippie genius is still there behind his words but he has lost much of his chill, growing awkwardly frazzled at times when his jokes don't hit like he wanted them to. Missing out on this album, though, would be like having a three-part meal and ditching dessert because you were afraid it might not be the best part of the night. Pick it up if you like Mitch Hedberg, which I know you do.
Pros: All of his jokes seem off-the-wall new.
Cons: Some of his jokes fall flat and you can sense he is losing the mellow nature that made him famous to begin with.

Too bad Mitch is gone His humor is entirely unique and is a series of surprising, short, almost one liner observations. Everyone I've played these to ends up not only busting out laughing but doing so 'til their faces hurt. We keep them in the car for long trips -you will not fall asleep. -I bought the three CDs as downloads -Do You Believe in Gosh is just like the other two (Strategic Grille Locations and Mitch All Together) -excerpts from his live shows. The excerpts are usually a bunch of jokes in a row for about as long as a song would go. The only complaints I have are that the audio editing is pretty poor -many excerpts begin with the punch line of a previous joke and the same editing guy seems not to know about EQ or matching levels across all the tracks so you have to adjust the volume level from time to time. Still, these CDs are precious.

This final cd is proof that Mitch was yet to hit his peak. Even though it is just a short rough cut of what might have made up his 3rd cd, it proves that his live material which he vetted everyday was just as good as his recorded material (this cd is just excerpts from his live performances at the Improv in Ontario). It has 13 tracks (which is a Hedberg joke in itself) that keep you listening from beginning to the all too sudden end. This is a must for any lover of Hedberg's material, as well as anyone wanting a album that's a comedic masterpiece.

This truly was his best work without it even being on purpose... the ultimate Hedberg joke.

Mitch Hedberg died way before his time, and this album is proof. It shows the genius of observation and wit that he was. Covering everything from Medusa to chewing gum, this album is really Mitch at his rawest and best. The album also has some really interesting liner notes as it is mostly excerpts from his journal, which really allows you to see Mitch's thought process. Excellent album, definitely worth buying. RIP Mitch.

This is obviously an attempt to get out the last of Mitches material before he passed. It is missing the polish and delivery that the other albums have. I still appreciate that they released it, Just dn't expect the sae quality as the earlier releases.
