Dr. Fred Schwarz is one of America s great heroes. In his 50 years of work in the United States, he trained a whole generation to recognize the evil and the danger of Communism at home and abroad. He was a major force in building the conservative anti-Communist movement and in supporting Ronald Reagan s goal of defeating the evil empire. --Phyllis Schlafly
America is at a crossroads. Nothing could be more important to our Nation s survival as a free republic than the ideas expressed in this book. Its publication brings afresh to a new generation the work of a pioneer scholar, Dr. Fred Schwarz, and his able successor, Dr. David Noebel, in a timely way that could save America from its impending moral and economic collapse. I was first stirred to apologetic action by Dr. Schwarz a half century ago. His messages against the encroachment of Socialism are as needed now as they were then. Every able Christian should carefully ingest and courageously act upon the message of this book. --Dr. Norm Geisler
An Australian doctor said, the three basic tenets of Communism are atheism, evolution, and economic determinism. Then he said, The three basic tenets of the American Public School system are atheism, evolution, and economic determinism. Four years later Dr. Fred Schwarz wrote his masterpiece "You Can Trust the Communists (to Be Communists)." The republication of this book could not be more timely as America decides whether to follow its Christian forebearers or once again test the poisonous waters of Marx, Lenin, Mao, Castro, Alinsky, and their swarming collectivist agents and useful idiots in their relentless attempt to dethrone God and destroy Capitalism. --Dr. Tim LaHaye

Dr. Fred Schwarz is an articulate writer. Most of the book is a re-release of his classic, written 50 years ago. It's absolutely stunning how every chapter applies to us today in 2010. The outstanding new chapters that have been added by Dr. David Noebel, are very current, revealing the great success of the Progressive movement in America, and the distinct ties the Obama administration has to the Communist Party. Chapter 15, "The Socialization of America" is chilling, particularly when you discover many members of Congress have Communist leanings.
I love the book cover. It's a very clever spin-off from the Beatles album, "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band". You'll have fun studying the cover's detailed illustration to figure out who all those little people are. The explanation of each one inside the front cover is helpful. Certainly some big surprises there...
In the back of the book there's a chapter called "Is Communism Dead? You decide." It's a compilation of quotes which speak for themselves quite effectively to prove that the answer to the question is a loud NO! Prepare to have your eyes opened. This is a MUST READ for every American of high school age and up.
God save America from going down the road to Communism. Hopefully this valuable book will help prevent that.
Communism sanctions mass murder for the purpose of creating a utopian society. When you eliminate everyone who supports capitalism and/or "soft" socialism, you create a country of brain dead-brain washed people who believe that truth is entirely what the Communist Party determines to be true. Senses and science become irrelevant to truth.
Throughout history, people have fled from communist countries, leaving behind absolutely everything they own to escape communism. Just ask immigrants from S. Viet Nam or the former Soviet Union.
This book explains in a clear and complete fashion how Communist countries are created, how they works and how it is different from Western and especially US republic and democratic governments.
