This book is so funny. I got it as a gift for my dad for Christmas. It's well written, nicely illustrated, and pretty darn accurate. It is a parody of a children’s book, which is stated clearly in Amazon’s synopsis of the book, and on the cover of the book. I found it quite funny. The illustrations are very well done. This was a wonderful parody of the children's series "If you Give a ....". For all of us parents and grandparents who have read these books over and over to our children, this was absolutely hysterically funny AND accurate!
NOTE, many 1 star reviewers don't understand the definition of a parody so just to be clear: "a literary or musical work in which the STYLE of an author or work is closely imitated for comic effect".
While it's funny regardless, to truly appreciate it, and the author's ability, you have to take 5 minutes to read one of the original children's books that this one parodied. Personally, I will be buying at least 5 copies for family and friends. Great hostess gift too!!!
