About the Author
Paul makes motivational and inspirational presentations on living a full life with one hand, a remarkable achievement given his continuing struggle with severe aphasia.
Stephanie Mensh, Paul's wife and co-author, has worked as a professional advocate, policy analyst, writer, editor and manager in the healthcare field for over 20 years. She currently serves as an Associate Vice President, Payment and Policy, for the Advanced Medical Technology Association. Previously, she served as the managing editor of Dr. Julian Whitaker's Health & Healing, of one of the largest circulation private consumer health newsletters. Stephanie serves on the boards of various organizations advocating for disabled people. She often joins Paul in making speeches and presentations around the country to professional, educational, volunteer, and government organizations.
Paul & Stephanie were featured in the year-end "most inspirational stories" on PBSs national TV show, Healthweek (2000), and on local NBC 4. They served on the Board of the National Aphasia Association, and co-chaired their local American Stroke Associations Operation Strokes Community Education Committee.
