From the Author
When we met on a cold November night in 2008, we never could have imagined that we would one day write a book about our time together - much less be able to get legally married in any state in the Union.
About the Author
Married in July 2015, Jared Milrad and Nate Johnson are increasingly well-known advocates and personalities with more than 10 million views worldwide and thousands of followers on social media. Featured in Hillary Clinton’s historic presidential campaign launch announcement, Jared and Nate are the first openly gay couple to appear in a major party presidential campaign commercial. The pair has been profiled in numerous media outlets around the world, including The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, The Guardian, The Times of London, TIME, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, and ABC News. Jared is an award-winning actor, screenwriter, producer, lawyer, and social entrepreneur who served in numerous leadership capacities for President Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns, worked in The White House, and founded a nationally recognized non-profit organization personally endorsed by philanthropist Peter Buffett and U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor. Nate manages Endpoint Outcomes, a prominent health outcomes consulting company with offices in Boston and Long Beach, and he has been widely published on developing innovative research tools to address many of the world’s most pernicious diseases and health conditions. When not writing books, Jared and Nate enjoy rescuing dogs, eating vegan food, hiking, traveling, "Netflix and Chilling," and making the world a little bit better than they found it. They currently live in Southern California with their adopted four-legged son, Cooper.
