I identify as a non-binary trans feminine person. I am 58 years old and I am about a year into my journey of self-discovery. I have been on HRT for 3 months and it has changed my life but that is another story. I have been following you on YouTube for about 8 months and eagerly awaited the release of your book. I know it was not specifically geared to older trans people per se but Dara said that there was something in there for everyone so I purchased a copy. I purchased a second edition copy from Amazon and I really like the workbook being Incorporated with the text. I've been working with a gender therapist for about 8 months and when I started your book, was already well into the discovery portion of my journey. I wanted to share that everything you have covered in your book was spot-on with what I have done with my therapist. I am currently working through the discovery and what's next sections of the book. I find it to be very insightful and well written.
I think this book will be very helpful for anyone questioning their gender identity. Whether they are CIS or trans. You and your journey helped me discover that I am also non-binary. I was assigned male at Birth but it never fit. I had anger issues my entire life. I sought out therapy to figure out my anger issues and discovered I have gender dysphoria. Since treating the dysphoria with HRT the anger has melted away after 58 years. My wife who decided to stick with me is thrilled with the person I have become. I had to risk it all but I am finally now able to live an authentic life. Thanks for being such a wonderful mentor and I look forward to your next work.

I’m a therapist and I was searching for a good workbook to help my gender-questioning clients to really dig in and do the necessary self-exploration on that great but painful path to self-understanding. Dara Hoffman-Fox has put together an incredible guide for this purpose. As a gender therapist, I have used this guide with so many clients and the results are great. Dara asks probing questions and provides so much validation throughout this book. This is a great book for anyone who is struggling to understand themselves, or for anyone who knows that they have dysphoria but are feeling blocked or held back from embracing their true selves. I have used this book with clients of all ages and with people in many different stages of self-exploration. I highly recommend this book if you are a therapist looking for something to help your clients, or if you are a person who is trying to understand your gender or gender identity. This book speaks to people on many different levels.

Working my way through the exercises in this book has changed the way I describe my gender identity, bringing it in line with my own deeply personal sense of my true self. Well written guide to get you through questioning your gender. Lots of great resources. Best part, for me, has been dealing with the never ending list of doubts I have. I'll probably keep coming back to this for quite a while. The only issue I've had is that a big chunk of it is dedicated to digging into your childhood. I'm sure that's really helpful for many people. Personally, I'm old enough that's 20+ years ago and memories in generally don't stick around very long for me. So I've got a big section that I just couldn't utilize.

This book (or workbook rather) is a must have for anyone who is questioning their gender identity. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to understand their gender more completely or who is having thoughts that they could be trans. It gives you all the tools to fully delve into and explore the question of what your gender identity is. It was through Dara's website that I realized two years ago that I was non-binary. I was already out when I read this but I still was able to revisit important pieces of my childhood I overlooked before that gave me a clearer understanding of myself as a non-binary person. This is one of the best resources out there for us, so read it!
