I am a working mom of two children and I don't have time to research the "why's and how's" of what I believe. This book puts it all together for me! Now, instead of fumbling through debates I can present my side of the issue with the facts to back it up... and I didn't have to spend hours finding the answers on the internet.

I especially liked the section on health care reform- when I use what I learned in this book, I am unbeatable in a debate. While it is a "conservative's guide" I feel that anyone would benefit from reading this. The facts are unbiased... and undeniable.

This book was an easy, enjoyable read. I liked the fact that all of the author's claims were backed up by facts, figures, and charts. It's not only a book, but also a good reference tool. I also enjoyed all of the quotes from historical figures throughout the book. This book really helps to spread the word of the young conservative movement. I really look forward to a follow up from the authors tackling more political issues.

He did a fabulous job on the radio and with his partner Andrew Foy has put together a concise, rational and fact based explanation for the conservative's position on the major issues Americans face today. It's a must read.

I've always had a more conservative point of view politically, but have never really paid as much attention as I probably should to politics on the whole. This book has really helped me to realize that I am indeed a young conservative. I now have plenty of information (and fire power!) at my finger tips to help me argue my views with the often times overly left sided views I'm more often used to running into. This book is a must have for anyone, not just the younger generations, who really feel his or her beliefs and morals are more conservative. It's an enjoyable and easy read.

The aim of this book is to educate people on the most important conservative issues, primarily fiscal, facing our country today. It does an excellent job of achieving this goal. The charts, figures, and factoids are extremely helpful. I have crosschecked many of them with bipartisan sources and have found the information to be very accurate and unbiased. For the young person on the run, busy with a family and trying to make a living, this quick reference is so helpful. Most of my life I was fed leftist, liberal ideologies. Now I have moved more toward the center and this book is one reason I now feel, not necessarily more conservative, but more informed and more intelligent. It's vital to see both sides of an issues and while the title is The Young Conservative's Field Guide, I have already got many of my liberal and centrist friends to read it and for the most part, I have heard positive feedback. Young people(and everyone for that matter) love data, and evidence in this day in age and this book is very good at presenting information in a concise, non-biased way. I do however wish they had focused on social issues more. I do realize though that there are many types of conservatives and generally to me it seems like fiscal policy is what unites most political groups. Excellent book. Excellent value.

EASY TO UNDERSTAND FOR THE LAYMAN

For someone like myself, who considers the subject of politics to be very daunting and at times confusing, this book really broke it down in a way that anyone can understand. You know that feeling when you are sitting at a dinner table and everyone is talking politics and you feel as if they are speaking Greek? Well after reading this book, I feel I finally understand the concepts talked about among all circles around the nation these days. I also feel I can hold a conversation and really support the true beliefs that I have and stand for as a conservative. Thanks to the authors for breaking it down simple, while not missing a beat when it comes to validity and importance of subject.

Finally, here is a book filled with the passion of two individuals who have the desire to reach out and touch the younger generation and educate them on major political promises and agendas provided by our government leaders. A must read for those looking to expand their points of view and grow with the change of our government, backed up with an excellent array and extensive research layed in charts for easier visualization. Bravo to the new and upcoming authors of "The Young Conservative's Field Guide", the first of what I hope to be many field guides to help our young generation through this time of economic difficulty and reach the brighter side at other end of the tunnel.

A must read for conservatives and liberals alike who are interested in learning the facts!

As a 25 year old, who just only registered to vote for our last election, I have little to no background knowledge of politics. With the current state of our government, I knew I didn't agree with the course of how things are going... but I wasn't sure how to articulate my thoughts for lack of subject knowledge and true understanding. This book provides the statistical and graphical evidence behind many of the conservative arguments regarding the "optimum size of government", government spending, economic stimulus, taxation, health care costs, the environment, etc.

I now understand FACTS surrounding hot topic political issues that will continue to be of great importance to my generation. I'm glad that I can be confident in my future discussions with my peers and colleagues.

I will definitely be ordering more copies of this book for friends and family!!
