I was a fan of Christina's Bionic "misstep" as it did have its shining moments ("Elastic Love" comes to mind) but since it turned out to be a commercial disappointment, I was very curious to hear what her next step would be. Enter "Your Body" from the upcoming Lotus album. The first thing I'll say is that it sounds like it's clearly designed to appeal to pop radio and win her back the audience who were turned off by the relative misfire that was "Not Myself Tonight". It's got a pulsing electronic rhythm and synths that are found in many songs nowadays. Second, the lyrics aren't anything special as Christina expresses her desire for some intimacy with her partner's body and her own sexual prowess.

With that said, Christina manages to pull this off quite nicely with a conviction that sounds a lot more convincing than most pop stars, largely thanks to her powerhouse vocals. When she forcefully sings "all I want to do is love your body" and then melodically howls during the chorus, her strong voice manages to make a very tired lyric sound almost genuine. Combine this with the pulsating beats in the background it's a pleasure to listen to.

"Your Body" definitely deserves to be listened to with a good pair of headphones. You won't find anything very deep here but it's a testament to Christina's vocal talents that she sells this seemingly generic yet catchy song which would otherwise sound like filler in the hands of someone with a less capable voice. Hopefully she'll do a better job of mixing these radio friendly tunes with songs that not only showcase her voice but also give us some insight as to who she is and where she's been like she did on Stripped.

saw this video when they previewed it on the voice and just really liked this song so I had to get it. It definitely is Christina's style and if you are or have ever been a fan of hers you will like this song.

After hearing Your Body for the first time, I didn't know what to think about it. I knew that Christina would have to come correct after the unfortunate demise of Bionic (pick up the deluxe version if you don't already have it!) and there were alot of heightened expectations for the new single. After listening to it again with a more open mind, I started to like it. It's not her best work, but is a playful, R&B/electro-pop club jam about one of Xtina's favorite subjects: S-E-X. Miss Thing doesn't even wanna know the guy's name, she just wants to get her hands on him and take care of business. Responsibly, I'm sure. And if he's not up for the job then the diva will gladly "finish off on [her] own." Cute video with her putting on a "glam trailer trash" persona and knocking off the men she seduces and the cover shot is tastefully sexy. Can't wait for Lotus in November, but the single will tide me over until then. "All I wanna do is love your body! Uh-oh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-uh-oh!"

I first caught the tail end of this song on the radio, and I was insistent upon hearing this song in its entirety. This is such a great song, a very commercial sounding song, so hopefully that will appeal to the people who purchased Back to Basics but decided to skip out on Bionic (which I loved). Very catchy but sultry at the same time, and Christina never fails to showcase her vocals. Can't wait to see what her next project brings.

Amazing single, it's all about fun and tongue-in-cheek humor. It's so catchy and playful, exactly what i expected from Christina.

The video is definitely among the best of the year!

Great first single. I like she's not trying to make a song that sounds like everything else on the radio.
