Judge Jenner Weber and fresh out of law school and virginal Lucy Edwards randomly meet and spend the night together...sort of...And, they get a big surprise when their next session of court convenes...❤️🌼🔥
Kristi Pelton has written an intelligent, sexy book, with a different story and a new premise than what we are used to...Jenner and Lucy prove opposites really attract, and their chemistry is off the charts, hot!!! ❤️🌼🔥
YOUR HONOR is my kind of book, and it will be placed on my To Be Read Again List, because I loved it....❤️🌼🔥
I can’t wait to start on Kristi Pelton’s other books....NEW FAN, HERE❤️🌼🔥
Both characters struggle with the imposition of the law against their romantic entanglement. They fight their attraction with titanic efforts which meant lots of tension, angst and strained longing.
It’s light and funny when they meet in very enigmatic circumstances. The female character is adorably quirky when she proposes something outrageous. Fluently narrated, with double POV and fast-paced chapters, what’s supposed to be a fling grows exponentially into an undeniable connection. Then the bomb explodes, turning their cosmic one night-stand into a test from fate.
Judge and assistant attorney clash in this inner battle of torn desires that cannot transcend into the public eye. Despite’s the judge’s cold and hostile resistance, his resolve is also melting, and I loved that about him. He’s not a bad man, and he’s falling for the pretty, tempting and smart woman he cannot have.
Oh, the heat is intense!
And then the light mood bursts into a mad drama of broken hearts and hurtful ethics. They love each other fiercely in secret even to each other. I loved it!
There’s a final part that is a rollercoaster of tears, public scandal, life-changing surprises, a woman getting the love she deserves and a man earning a second chance with all his might and heart. My verdict is total compliance :-D
(I'm happy to share my honest opinion of a book I reviewed on my blog Literaria)
This is completely different from the other stories I've read before but it's a good different ;) It's sort of a forbidden HOT tryst affair between a judge, Jenner and a prosecutor, Lucy and in their journey to their HEA is complicated. There are twists, secrets, the hiding of their attraction to one another and then later on their being together, the steamy sexual tension that surrounded these two as well as the longing they held for each other, you even sense it while reading it (that's how good this author's writing skills were), the tension that goes on between these two would have given be a heart attack already if it was me.
When you read this, it's like riding on a rollercoaster or jumping off a cliff, not knowing what to expect but trust me, it's good :)
I will be honest, I would have liked more sex scenes between Jenner and Lucy but the intimate scenes we got from them were GOOD, so I didn't mind that much because I was more invested in their dialogue, the plot of the story, the flow and how everything would end...
I liked the epilogue even though it was short, at least for me but it was still good :)
If someone asked me if I would read something again from this author, my answer would be yes :)
Lucy has been going to law school for past few years. She hasn't been out partying it up as focused on finishing school and getting job as assistant district attorney. So she decides to let loose with her best friend Henley. Yes Henley is the type of friend who speaks it how it is makes you laugh as the reader but embarrasses you as a friend. Lucy's goal for the night let loose and find a guy to have fun with. Except the night ends up with her not like she was thinking, no name to the good looking mystery man from the bar. Then the next morning she's alone and questioning herself.
It's not till she walks into court room a few days later she realizes the good looking man from the bar is Judge Jenner- He is the one who will be handling all the cases that Lucy will bring forward to present to him. Talk about twist of events. Hot looking judge (yes please) but does this throw her off, yes!
There is so much angst between Lucy and Judge Jenner but they both know that nothing can happen or both there jobs are in jeopardy. There is so much more to this book but I cant even being to put it all into a review
