Dominic Done is founder of Pursuing Faith and author of When Faith Fails. With a master’s in theology from the University of Oxford, he has served as a pastor in Portland, Oregon; North Carolina; and Hawaii. Dominic has also taught English for companies in Europe, lectured in theology and history at various Christian colleges, worked as a radio DJ, and lived as a missionary in Vanuatu and Mexico. Dominic Done is the founder of Pursuing Faith and author of the ECPA and Amazon best-selling books When Faith Fails: Finding God in the Shadow of Doubt and Your Longing Has a Name: Come Alive to the Story You Were Made For. He holds a master’s degree in theology from the University of Oxford.

Dominic has taught as a professor at George Fox University and served as a pastor in Portland, Oregon. He has also worked globally in humanitarian and educational contexts—including Vanuatu, Mexico, Austria, and the UK.     Dominic Done meets us where we need it the most. As a professional counselor I get daily requests from people that are anxious, burned out and exhausted. He writes as if he's sitting across from you enjoying a cup of coffee. The conversation comes easy, the occasional giggle catches you by surprise, and the wisdom forever changes your heart. When Faith Fails helped me get out of a dark time in my life, so I was very excited to see that he had written another book. Climbing out of a dark season left my soul weary and his new book, Your Longing .. , gave me words to explain what I knew I had been feeling but wasn't quite sure how to express. We are all exhausted and this message is exactly what we need to be the light we are called to be.

Though my soul is usually pretty joyful and hopeful, I’ve been walking through some health issues lately that have brought me to my knees with fear and uncertainty. In fact, as I write this review I am in bed recovering from surgery. Dominic’s book has reminded me how important the health of my soul is and that Jesus is the remedy. With Him and only Him I can walk through anything and still be at peace and flourish. One of my favorite quotes from the book is “Flourishing isn’t something you earn because you’re driven. It’s something you receive because you are loved.” Thank you Dominic for writing this book and for all that you do in service to our Father and to others. You are a light in this world and so many of us are eternally grateful.
