Love the movie, and partially because the music is so emotional and moving.

That being said, when I purchased this digitally, I downloaded the zipped file and extracted it to my music folder. From there the file was inaccessible, and un-deletable.

The problem is that in the sub folder where the album name lies. The folder's name is "Your Name." That period at the end causes a world of pain. From WITHIN the zip file, change the name from "Your Name." to "Your Name" then you can extract as normal. Done. That's it. Enjoy your heart warming and emotionally charged music.

As for getting all those un-deletable folders off your computer, change the folder "Radwimps" to literally anything else (I prefered aa, aaa, and aaaa myself,) and then put them in a folder named "New Folder" on your desktop, then look up a video on Youtube by a guy named: Shareef Manjeri called: Item Not Found error - How to Delete Undeletable File

I've let Amazon know what the issue is and this review might be obsolete eventually, but that's all the better.

Great music. Do approve. 10/10 would fap again.

This is a very good soundtrack. The songs all stand very well on their own and were used very well in the movie itself. I've listened to the entire soundtrack multiple times, including both English and Japanese versions of the songs with lyrics and never grew tired of them. For each song, I could listen to just the song itself and enjoy it on its own right or remember the point of the movie it comes from and enjoy it that way. Very solid throughout. The only issue I'd note is that the English version of the songs are not perfect, they do have a couple issues likely due to the difficulty of translating songs, but they are very good nonetheless. I highly recommend it.

Admittedly, my review of the soundtrack is biased because listening to it reminds me of each part of the film, and each character each particular melody relates to. While I am not sure it would be the same for a listener who hasn't seen the film, it is a masterful crafting of emotion and memory to sound. It evokes the same feelings you get from watching a scene without being able to remember exactly what the scene was. In a way, it is a perfect soundtrack for the film.

Also, objectively, it is a good listen.

On very few occasions do I watch a movie and say "I HAVE to have that soundtrack." But the Radwimps soundtrack for Your Name. took hold of my heart and I absolutely couldn't wait to buy it. It is a perfect accompaniment to the film. The instrumental background tracks suit the film wonderfully, and they make for great easy listening music. Both the original Japanese and the English versions of the lyrical songs are great. Lyrically (only speaking for the English ones since my Japanese is a little rough), they are beautiful and thoughtful and the most perfect kind of melancholy. Five stars for the most beautiful and fitting soundtrack for a beautiful movie.

There's something special when a score can evoke the same emotions you had while watching a film. A few examples from my childhood would be the theme from Star Wars, the Raiders March, E.T. or Forrest Gump.

RADWIMPS has done the same with "Your Name". While listening to the soundtrack, it brought back all of the feelings I had while watching the film. When I first saw the film, I thought they had only supplied the "rock" songs; I was pleasantly surprised that they did the score as well. They did a great job! If you enjoyed the film, I think you will enjoy the soundtrack, as well.

Katwaredoki in itself is easily the emotional climax of the musical score, and its simplistic build and melodic harmony are devastating to anyone who's been privileged enough to view the film by now.

After watching this film, I was intrigued by its soundtrack. The use of simple piano melodies with full and clear string backgrounds and the occasional clarinet countermelody is absolutely stunning. Though many of the tracks are without words, the clarity of expression, particularly of the feelings of powerful loneliness and confusion, is stellar. As a classical musician, the simplicity of much of modern music bores me, but this album serves as excellent proof that music musn't be complicated to be beautiful.

Y el 2do tiene los temas originales al Japonés.

This is the Deluxe edition with 2 CDs. The first disk includes the English versions of Dream Lantern, Zenzenzense, Sparkle and Nandemonaiya, and various other OST tracks. The original Japanese version of these songs are on the 2nd bonus disk. The English version of Zenzenzense and Nandemonaiya are very good, much better than I expected.
The ver. of Sparkle on the bonus CD is 8 min, 5 min of which is instrumental, and is the fourth arr. of the song I've found including the English one and the 3 min one used in the promotional trailer. Initially I'd set out to purchase a Japanese only CD, and was skeptical of how good the English songs would be. Given that the Japanese only version has 1 disk and is about the same price, I'm quite pleased with this product so far. The only thing missing is the full 5 min ver of Sparkle, which is my favourite after Nandemonaiya.
