About the Author

D. Cooper Getschal's first paying union studio gig for a was as the drum programmer for five songs on Michael Jackson's Bad album including Bad, The Way You Make Me Feel, Speed Demon, Liberian Girl and Dirty Diana all of which made it to the top of the charts. That's not too bad a way to start. His first major release as a songwriter was for Johnny Mathis within 24 hours of arriving in Los Angeles. D. Cooper Getschal is a sought after collaborator who has worked with a diverse group of successful entrepreneurs including Michael Jackson, Kenny G., Johnny Mathis, Kenny Rogers, Quincy Jones, Burt Reynolds, James Taylor, Richie Havens, James Brown and countless others. His interests include music, filmmaking, producing, directing and performing. Cooper lives in Jupiter, Fl where he creates many different intellectual properties including books, music, education programs, websites and more. His father owned a successful Madison Avenue Advertising agency and his mother was a much acclaimed songwriter which is why the creative "arts" are so ingrained in Cooper's persona. He's written hundreds of songs, some with Award winning composers including Jeff Barry, Jeff Silbar, Kent Blazy, Jim Weatherly, Bob Welch, John Ford Coley, Harriett Schock, Van Dyke Parks, John Robinson, Denise Rich and more. Cooper's musical catalog 7 Albums of original music available online and he's just released 2 new books, "GR8F8TH' and "Be Your Own Record Label".

Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Overall, this guide had a few good tips regarding publishing your own music online. However, the amount of typos was a complete and utter abomination. The number of typos was so distracting, that it was hard to focus on the content. There was also a lot of filler information that was included to pump up the number of pages (there is probably 20 pages of useful information). And, oddly enough, there are book chapters but no page numbers. So even though there is a [Table of] Contents section, there are no corresponding page numbers. The layout / format of this book was poorly put together. Do I regret my purchase? Not really, but it was obvious that no one proofread the material before it went to print. Either that or they just didn't care; not professional at all.
