This book is a divinely inspired manual for discovering and freeing your true voice. Let me be clear: this is no ordinary vocal manual; this is the rarest kind of shamanic scripture in service of humanity. Dielle Ciesco is an extraordinary writer; there is rich artistry in her every sentence, and sometimes her poet’s soul bursts forth into verse so potent it will leave you stunned. “Your True Voice” is the non-fiction companion to Ciesco’s “The Unknown Mother: A Magical Walk with the Goddess of Sound,” which introduced us to the “10 Gates of Sound,” which form the structural essence of the current book also. But now we are invited through those gates directly, welcomed, just as we are, to discover the true voice and vast power of who we really are. Ciesco tells us that one of the main goals of her Transformational Voicework is to help us remove the numerous layers of impressions (not to mention repressions and depressions) that may have accumulated in our vocal channel, so our true voice may be uncovered and liberated. Those psychic wounds may be from childhood traumas or even past life dramas, if you believe in such things (as I do), and to truly purge them from our system is a fire walk, not for the faint of heart. I found Dielle’s new book to be a trip into the vast space of my own true voice. Using breathing and vocal toning exercises, Dielle helped unlock the sounds I’ve learned to silence. I like the concept of unlocking the 10 Gates of my voice. Step-by-step, I learned to explore the richness of my own spiritual sound. I chose to take it slow and easy, journaling with the opening of each gate. I didn’t realize how constricted my breathing and my voice had become. Nor did I fully understand the “how” and the “why” of this constriction. With each gate, I found more and more freedom and power. This book is now part of my daily meditation practice. I love the breathing and tonal aspects of Your True Voice. You don’t need to read her previous book in order to get the benefits from this book. Dielle folds everything you need to know into these gentle exercises. I thoroughly recommend this book.

Great book to find your true voice

Your True Voice: Tools to Embrace a Fully-Expressed Life by Dielle Ciesco is a wonderful book that helps us find the power in our own voice.

We are taken on a journey through the 10 Gates of Sound in order to find our true voice both in how we communicate and listen. One of my favorite gates is the third gate, “The Alphabet” in which we are shown the importance and meaning behind both words and the letters used to make them. The exercises in this book are absolutely wonderful and helpful in finding our own voice.

It is not necessary to have read the author’s first book, “The Unknown Mother” in order to learn and gain insight from this book. Your True Voice stands on its own as an amazingly useful tool to finding the voice within.

Delving Deeper into Sound Healing

This book is a wonderful complement to this author's first book, "The Unknown Mother: A Magical Walk with the Goddess of Sound." In the first book, I learned so much about the energy of the sounds, words and wisdom found within our own voices and wisdom. The second book contains even more wisdom, by delving deeper into the 10 Gates of Sound. The author instructs the reader to buy a journal, provides many exercises, and leads you along to your own healing path. If you are pursuing sound healing, in a truly meaningful way, I encourage you to purchase this book - and get to work!!

I've just finished reading Your True Voice by Dielle Ciesco. What a great work! I must say, as a Vocal Sound Healing it is refreshing to read about Dielle's experiences and the methods she uses and how she came about them as they are similar to my own. I am so thankful that she shares her insights as it confirms that this particular journey is truly an intuitive journey and that we CAN trust that inner guidance to guide us to the right place for each of us. I find this book highly valuable to anyone engaging in spiritual path of the vocal healer. Thank you for sharing your true voice!
