This is a great book about how to build your personal network as well as develop relationships with friends, coworkers and acquaintances in order to grow your list of 'clutch' friends (i.e. that select group of people who will come to your aid when you're in a bind).
The book centers around the idea, which I realize I forget sometimes, that you need to develop relationships with those `clutch' friends long before you ever need them, and this book explains how to do just that!
Harvey McKay does a great job once again as "Dig Your Well Before You're Thirsty: The Only Networking Book You'll Ever Need" is definitely worthwhile if you're looking for a new job, trying to move up in your organization, or in any type of sales. I would say that this is a must read for anyone in business whose livelihood revolves around leads or referrals. It's not just about who you know anymore, it's about who you know that will come to your aid when you need them.
All in all, time well spent and one comes away feeling that something useful has been learnt.
