What makes this unique is your child will use library books to complete some of the activity pages like Spelling Time, Reading Time, and Geography! Your child will list 8 interesting things that THEY want to learn about. Take them to the library to check out books and audio books too. They can even use Minecraft books!
I have my kids pick at least one history book and one science type book. I may even pick something out for then ;)
The Geography page is pretty neat. Your child is instructed to pick a country to learn about. Look it up using Google Earth and add from the country they picked to their Minecraft World. Another page has them design a Minecraft animal. The Backyard Science page has them find something in nature, draw it, and create the same item in their Minecraft world.
This journal can be used as a supplement to your current curricula, after-schooling, weekend schooling and even if mom is busy teaching other children with needing to keep the others busy, give them their Minecraft journal and have them complete a few pages.

It is exactly what I thought it would be when watching the review and reading other people's. And I love the fact that it promotes life of Fred to use as one of the math books. We also got the unofficial math for Minecrafters to go along with this as well
