This book has many interesting articles on Popular Culture and the representation of women. It gives a good introduction to third wave feminism in contrast to second wave, and covers some of the common criticisms of both views. While most of the articles attempt to present a positive light or progress in the way in which women are represented in media today, the reader must keep in mind that the topic is pop culture and should not be "too" demanding in her expectations. The book does provide a lot of "food for thought" and could instigate some good discussion. It is well worth reading.
