We modified the rules so that you don't attach a word to the loop until every spool and loop are placed. This forces people to think on the fly instead of figuring out their gameplan while other people are still placing.
The theme and components are exceptionally high-quality. The box it comes in is beautifully-designed and the components are extremely high quality.
One downside is how incredibly difficult it can be to see which loops are around each spool. Yes, you could argue that it's the challenge, but I've played with people who just can't grasp the concept enough to capture all the loops. If you're the type of person that looks at a mess of tangled up christmas lights and goes cross-eyed, this might not be the game for you.
Another downside is that you may have words that are complete polar opposites. For instance, we had a spool with "Opaque" and "Transparent". I'm certain someone could write "Car" and argue that the windows are transparent but the car is opaque, but still... Everyone's spots were blank.
A good game, and worthy of being in your collection if you need a light party game, but not a "must-have get-it-now" game.
