There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
They included a picture of an Arduino with lines drawn directly to the pins that work with their demo library. They also explain what each line is. This is much nicer than some of the radio shack parts I've bought that only have a product number on them. The sensor feels well constructed, and has the added plus of actually looking like a sensor.
Ok it is sitting in a breadboard now so I must go. Buy it!
Update 3/30/2012 (a few days later)
Well, I have bad news...
This thing worked perfectly and did exactly what I needed it to. That means I'm going to have to buy a bunch more to finish my grand project. Fortunately they are cheap so I won't go any more bankrupt than I already am.
The sensor was very easy to set up. Three wires and I was ready to go. They recommend using a 5k resistor but I wasn't entirely sure from reading the diagram where it was supposed to go (I'm still learning the reading diagrams part of things).
In my testing it reported the same temp as the digital thermometer I had sitting next to it. It reports the temp to quite a few significant digits (i.e. 75.1230548 or so). It is sensitive enough that it reported a temp and humidity change just from me breathing on it once.
The Library that came with the product is well written and easy to understand. I had the demo sketch up and running in just a few minutes (I used an Adruino Uno). Actually, the only problem I remotely had in the entire process is that the serial monitor I was using wasn't supporting unicode so the Celsius and Fahrenheit symbols were coming out scrambled. I just swapped them out in the code (very easy to find the right place) and put in the full words instead.
It seems accurate when I compare it with my commercial temperature and humidity gauge. Very happy with this sensor. I would use this sensor again for other projects.

This is the code that i found to work. Use the code from Camel at the bottom. Really easy to use code and very light weight as well.
Great sensor though.
The chips arrived on time via USPS with shipping information showing up online after it arrived at my house. Even though this was strange and annoying, the items arrived on time so I would not hold this against the company or item. Due to this item arriving on time and my other items not arriving on time via UPS I can not tell you the functionality of this item. It appears that the instructions/data sheet inside is very complete and gives plenty of information to allow a "geek" to set this item up within it's testing limits.
The sense of humor I mentioned in the first line refers to the packing stickers/info sheets on the outside of the ESD bag. It states:
Description: Tired of all the heavy metal poisoning from waving thermometers around? Done gauging humidity by the time it takes for your tongue to dry as you wag it wildly through the air? Let this handy sensor do it for you!
This device Cannot Swim (with a nice picture of the chip drowning)
Sensing +2 (with a nice picture of a yellow nose)
NERDOMETER red/orange/yellow/green (with the yellow section ticked off showing "HOBBY UPGRADE" of "NERD LEVEL")
Overall I give this a precarious 5/5 for appearance/cost/shipping/packaging/sense of humor. I was not able to test this yet so I can not comment on arguably the most important part... does it actually work? For what it's worth though, shipping and packaging are definitely part of what keeps things running for their normal lifetime and not helping them to fail early.

Each small sensor came is a big box, which I think is a waste of sellers, buyers and shippers money.
Finally found this sensor which they sent itself has problems.
