Have yet to overclock the board but it is possible from what I've seen in the bios.
SPECS: i3-530, Zotac H55, 4gb G-Skill Ripjaws DDR3 1600, 1.5 TB HD in a Apex MI-008 case, Haupauge WinTV-HVR-1600, Win 7 64bit and BD-ROM.
I built the entire system around this board, a nice Silverstone SG07 case and an I7-860 CPU. Everything went along just fine until I ran it through a few burn-in tests. It passed my first 10 minute round of Prime95 testing. The temps were a bit warm as expected, but stayed well within spec with the stock cooler, stock clockings, and large case fan. Nothing was ever OC'd. Then a few hours later, the board died along with that lovely burning electronics odor.
Before replacing the board I did a lot more digging around both on-line and at my local retailer. Apparently these Zotac 1156 boards don't like i7 CPU's very much. There have been quite a few other returns for just this very reason. Which is probably why the Intel board with the same chipset doesn't support it. My guess is the VRM just can't handle the extra power the i7 requires. Ultimately, I just ditched the case/MB and went with a full tower build. I wasn't ditching my CPU for an i3/5, and this board was already dead anyways.
If you are looking for a mini-ITX build for an i3 or i5 proc, this is otherwise a very solid board. I like the features and it worked very well for the whole 24 hours it was running. I just wish they wouldn't advertise that it could work with a CPU when it clearly can not.
