Good value. I work with the military and require CAC access. I just bought a new Razer laptop and picked this up as I had a spare USB-C port. Works plug and play, no additional driver required. Just load the DOD Certs and you are ready to go.

One thing to look out for is a rare issue where the certificate propagation service gets disabled. If you can't see your cac card, make sure that service is set to automatic and started.

Trying to access DoD sites from a Mac has always been an adventure. You never know what combination of certs, IDs, and readers will actually work. I got a civilian cac after I retired and the reader (SCR3310) that I have used for the last 6 years stopped working with my Mac (still worked great on a pc). After too many hours of troubleshooting I decided to order this reader. I was beyond surprised that it worked perfectly right out of the box and I was able to sign into ATAAPS quicker than ever! Definitely buy this if you are tired of troubleshooting your old reader!
