What is an unlocked phone?
An unlocked phone is a device that is not bound to any carrier or plan. It allows you to choose your phone first and your carrier second. Upon selecting a plan, simply insert the carrier's SIM card into the phone and you're ready to go. If you decide you want to change carriers down the road or want to take an international trip, it's as simple as replacing your existing SIM card with a new SIM and activating your new plan.
What are the benefits of an unlocked phone?
Freedom: Choose the carrier with the best service or price. If you find a better deal later, you have the ability to change to a different carrier.
Travel: Take your phone internationally and use the carrier of your choice. It's as easy as inserting an active SIM card.
Selection: Choose the phone with the features you want, whether or not your carrier sells it, and get more service options without a contract.
How do I set up my unlocked phone?
The first thing you’ll need is a SIM card for your desired carrier. When activated, the SIM card will let your phone connect to your carrier’s network. If you decide to upgrade to a newer unlocked phone in the future, you can easily remove the SIM card from your old phone and put it in your new phone—just make sure you get the right size of SIM card (nano, micro, or standard) for your phone. If you want to use your phone while traveling internationally, you can easily buy a SIM card for a carrier that operates where you’re traveling. As long as it’s activated, you can just swap SIM cards when you arrive at your destination.

What I liked:
-Large screen size
-Fast, smooth transitions between screens
-Apps loaded fast
What I did not like:
-For some reason, joining contacts was impossible for this phone... and I tried to find a way.
-Multiple freezes per day
-Multiple crash/reboots per day
-This is more of a Boost mobile issue, but despite the customer service being very helpful, they were difficult to
understand as their operators had limited English or thick accents.
The freezing up of the phone happened 3-4 times per day (on a good day) and on the last day I had the phone, it happened 10 times. Each time I would need to remove the battery and restart the phone. This was made horribly annoying by the fact that I had a case on the phone that was almost impossible to remove without injuring yourself. The phone freezing up seemed to happen most during use of apps.
The phone crashing and rebooting happened frequently as well. Not as much as the phone freezing up, but I'd say on average 2-5 times per day the phone would reboot. There did not seem to be any pattern to the reboot either. At times the phone was just sitting out in the open, at other times, was during use or even phone calls.
I very rarely return items that I purchase, and I tend to find a way to make something work, especially with electronics. I'm not the most tech savvy, but I can research something enough and find out how to get something to work properly enough. I just was not able to do that with this phone. So, I finally broke down and sent them back to Amazon. I pray my refund will be full and quick.
April 9, 2012 I ordered the phone yesterday (Sunday) and it was on my doorstep today (Monday). I previously had Samsung Seek for 15 months. This has much faster internet. I had tried out the Sanyo Innuendo which is not touchscreen and has ridiculously slow internet as does the Samsung Galaxy Prevail. I love this for the large screen size. The Prevail's touchscreen to text was difficult as the letters were close together. With the larger screen on the Warp, it's no problem to tap the letters. The internet speed (meaning how fast it goes from typing web address to the website coming up on the screen) is superior to the other phones that I mentioned.
