Love it. For a mid - range camera, it does planetary imaging very well and basic deep space object imaging decently well. If you combine this with a Barlow lens and use the SmartCapture software, you can get remarkable pictures. I've attached some of the pictures I've taken with this camera (and the SmartCapture software, with my celestron NexStar 8se telescope). The wide angle lens is also very cool for large sky images. The tech support is very helpful too. I had to upgrade my laptop and was initially having issues getting the camera to be seen by the new Windows 10 but the tech support helped me get it fixed and running without issue.

Couldn't be happier with this thing! For the money, the performance can't be beat. I'm just under a year into my astrophotography journey (both planetary and DSO) and this is one of the few products that I feel over-delivers. I will say, however, if you're new to all of this and jumping right in, please do some research on capture software (the firecapture this comes with is great but you still need a primer) and techniques (such as using Registax) or there's a solid chance you'll be overwhelmed, frustrated, and give up. Learning this is time consuming, but fun and well worth it if you love observing planets. I got this pic the second early morning I took it out. It needs improvement, but if a newbie like me can pull it off, a seasoned veteran should have no problem surpassing such. Image taken with 8" SCT on Celestron AVX equatorial mount with 2x barlow. I'm told this thing makes a good guide camera and can do DSO stuff, but I haven't tried any of that. If I never do, the planetary results are more than worth the cost!

I have never used an astrocam before so this was a bit of a learning curve.
Once I had the software installed the actual capture was much easier. I played with a number of settings before deciding on what I wanted to shoot at and proceeded to shoot several 1 minute sessions.
Processing turned out to rather easy with the newer versions of AutoStakkert and RegiStax. AutoStakkert now has the ability to transfer directly into RegiStax ,if the program is running, when the stack process is complete and autosaves in the process.
RegiStax knows its been stacked and automatically opens the Wavelet section to allow fine tuning the final stack.
I am going to attach a 1000 photo stack from my May 30th session with Saturn. You be the judge as to how well they work together.
Cheers.

What I didn't like:
*No native Mac Support
*I/R filter doesn't appear to be removable

What I liked:
*Works well in VMWare Fusion and Bootcamp on Mac (Mavericks)
*Well made
*Light weight
*Added functionality: Guide Camera
*Added functionality: All-sky Camera
*Super fast frame rates, especially when a small region of interest (ROI) is selected
*Compatibility with every image acquisition application I've tried

Very happy with this camera. It's a very capable imager at a great price.

I bought this to replace an obsolete Celestron NexImage Planetary Imager that I couldn't find a working driver for. I was not satisfied with the planetary images I was getting from my Canon T2i. This camera arrived promptly and in good condition. I had no trouble getting it set up on my computer. If you haven't done planetary imaging before, it takes some time to get used to finding planets, getting them focused and adjusting the gain, etc. but I had learned that on my old camera so had no trouble.

First night out was amazing! I was able to see details on Jupiter in real time I couldn't see after stacking on my old camera and DSLR. See the attached photo through a modest 6" f/5 reflector. You can see Europa, Io and their shadows on Jupiter. I haven't tried the autoguiding or all sky imaging yet.

The software could use some improvements but the little guy does everything it promises! The all-sky C-mount fisheye lens is a cool bonus.
