Blog postAre you excited?
I certainly am. This trilogy has been amazingly fun to work on and I can't wait to share the final installment with you. My alpha readers have given me great feedback, and the book is currently off to my beta readers to refine. Once I get feedback from them, I'll give you a release date!
But for now, to wet your appetite, I want to share with you the absolutely amazing work Greg Bain did for me with the latest cover. So, without further ado, here's what3 years ago Read more -

It's been way too long, hasn't it?
Life's been busy, as I'm sure happens to many of you, but the work has continued forward! I spent the past few days with the Sterling and Stone Smarter Artist Summit here in Austin, hanging out with a number of amazing writer and learning to up my game for you fine readers. Blog postDuring the British Colonial period, there was discussion of working with the government of what we now know as Thailand to create a railroad that connected the major tracks already in existence, allowing for faster travel across to what was then Burma. These plans were abandoned, however, when the terrain was surveyed and the cost was realized.
Fast Forward to WWII, and the Japanese have now taken much of the surrounding areas, including the adjacent railroads that they5 years ago Read more -
Blog postHello Folks,
Book 3 is moving slowly but surely along. It will still be a while before I can tell you when to expect it, but since many of you have been kind enough to tell me how much you're looking forward to it, I thought I would share a chapter. It goes with out saying that, if you've not completed The Glacier of Gods and Monsters, there be spoilers ahead. You have been warned!

Blog postHello Folks!
I know, it's been far too long since I've done a post. Life remains busy, but I wanted to update everyone on the series. First, of course, news on Book III - It's coming along quite well. A bit slower than I would prefer, but I knew that would happen as I want to make sure to tie up all of the loose ends I've left open with the prior books, and bring this particular story into a satisfying close. I'm happy with the direction the story's gone so far, s6 years ago Read more -
Blog postHello Folks!
Happy 2015! Hope all of you have had a great holiday season. As many of you probably know, I spent my holidays in Thailand this year. Thailand is a beautiful country, and I highly recommend it as a vacation destination. We spent much of the time an hour north of Kanchanaburi, where we were able to see the Bridge of the River Kwai (made famous by the movie of the same name), explore museums, learn much about the Death Railroad from WW2, including a hik6 years ago Read more -
Blog postIt's really difficult to figure out just what a baseline of expectation should be for sales. As a new author with limited marketing funds and no public name, I knew I had to aim high but set my expectations low. A large number of self published books don't sell more than one or two copies, and those are often relatives trying to support you. Per some slightly dated data I was able to track down from Nielsen's BookScan, 79% of published books sell fewer than 99 copies. 16% of all books published6 years ago Read more

Blog postSouls have power. For thousands of years, self proclaimed gods fought to collect more and more of them, waging battles that raged among the living and the dead. The wars only stopped when they were betrayed by one of their own, locked away in a nightmare prison until they slowly melted away.
An order was formed to ensure such powerful creatures never again came into existence. Upon dying, Thomas Salazar found himself recruited into this order. Within hours of becoming a full member,6 years ago Read more -
Blog postI was five years old when Mork and Mindy debuted. I loved it. I watched it every chance I could. Mork was hilarious, unique, and amazing to watch. As I grew older I came to realize quickly that Mork wasn't so much a character as a representation of its actor, Robin Williams. I'm told much of the script consisted of blank sections labeled "Mork does his thing".

Blog postOkay, I finally got around to doing what several more notable author friends of mine have been telling me to do for months: Set up a mailing list.
In the world of modern communication, it's surprisingly difficult to be heard. I share links on my Facebook page, only to find Facebook has only shown it to 10% of the people who have subscribed to my page (if you're one of my many fans on there, click on the page just to see what has not shown up in your feed. Blog postAlrighty, folks!
The first set of revisions is 75% complete, and I have to say I like how it's turned out. I hope you do as well. As soon as I finish, which will hopefully be in the next week, I'll be sending it out to my first round of beta readers to tear apart so I can build it back even stronger. I've also confirmed that my cover artist from book one, the talented Greg Bain, will be back with the cover for Book Two, so I'll be shooting him a draft soon as well so he can start pu7 years ago Read more -
Blog postIT'S ALIVE! The Safety of Sunflowers was a story that popped into my head sometime ago. I sketched out the basics in my notes for The Glacier of Gods and Monsters, but as I continued writing the novel I realized that the story I had plotted out in my head wasn't going to really work with the way that GoGaM was moving. I decided instead to write it separately just to see how it flowed as a stand alone. As I finished it, I was surprised at how well it stood on its own. Blog postI'll be honest.
I'm pretty confident in my writing ability. I've been telling stories in one form or fashion for most of my life, and have written a variety of things ranging from college news papers articles to poetry to screenplays for corporate training films. I've got a degree in Radio-Television-Film that includes an emphasis on screenwriting, and I've been lucky enough to see and do things that most people would never consider doing, which gives me a unique perspective for sto7 years ago Read more -
Blog postIt's been an amazingly busy month in the real world, which means I've not had as much chance as I'd like to towards pushing the book. That being said, the end of the month is coming together quite nicely. I was featured this week on the Kindle Boards' Book Discovery Day post, and I've been interviewed by Fantascize.com, who run the popular Fantasy and Sci-Fi Rock My World Facebook page. Let us hope this attention leads to a few more sales.

Blog postSo, we're closing in on a month since Waking Up Dead went live. It's been an interesting learning curve so far. Most of what I've learned I already knew intellectually from research and discussions with other writers, but like so much of life, there is a huge difference between knowing something and experiencing it!
I'm honestly still surprised at how many people don't actually know I've got a book out. I feel sometimes like I talk about it too much (a feeling I know many other writ7 years ago Read more -

Blog postI've always loved stories.
I loved telling them, I loved hearing them, I loved reading them, and I loved playing them. When I got to college my first degree was in Photo-journalism, where I was able to collect and share stories. I then switched to theatre, where I was able to act out stories. I moved to Austin and I switched my major to Radio-Television-Film with an emphasis on screenwriting. Greater Spirits: A River Sanctuaries Book
Jul 31, 2018
$4.99
Thomas never wanted to lead. But now he's responsible for the very souls of his family and friends. If he's unable to gain enough power, he'll be helpless when his enemy finally strikes. If he gains too much, he'll lose himself to the ancient god buried in his psyche, a being that would sacrifice all Thomas holds dear to achieve its own goals. It's a delicate balance, and one Thomas fears he may not be up to.
Meanwhile, Jack finds himself in his own precarious position. He has a plan to return back home, but doing so requires tricking the gods on his side of the Glacier into destroying one another so that he doesn't inadvertently unleash them on the real world. If he fails, he and his team will be consigned to this unending hell for eternity.
Greater Spirits bring the Glacial Gods trilogy to a thrilling conclusion!

"You know, I thought when I died…. I really thought at the time that was the end of my goodbyes. Either the Good book was right and I was headed to a place of endless happiness, or it was complete rubbish and I would just cease to be. Either way I was prepared. But this… After all this time I am still not prepared for this."

In a world where reality can respond to your every thought, a job that offers endless surprises can be enticing. Leaving life behind, however, isn’t easy and the job holds its own risks.
