Zachary was the half brother of O’Reilly, always feeling at odds and tend to be a bit reckless. He’s a good cop, but he also tend to do things a bit out of the book to ensure the culprit was revealed and captured. His ex-partner and love interest, Detective Rebecca, was a straight-laced cop, a bit too straight for me. Honestly, a bit unbelievable that a too straight (and naïve) cop could be a successful detective. But, hey, it’s a fiction.
The mystery was concluded here, with Zach solved it and safe the day. The mystery solving was good, with enough suspense. The other issues, though, they’re too nicely wrap up. Like “okay, it’s the end of the trilogy, let’s wrap it up smooth, nice and sweet”. Still, a good read.
All in all, this trilogy was okay. You have to read it in order, and they’re definitely not stand-alones.
I was provided a complementary copy by the author / publisher through NetGalley, but this in no way influenced my thoughts or opinions.

The third book centers around Zachary Doucet a cop and his former partner Det. Rebecca Romero. Zachary arrives at the scene of yet another murder during a voodoo ceremony and sees his ex-partner. The two work together to find who is behind the killings and trying to destroy Camille's reputation and restaurant. The mystery started with "Jordan" by Rebecca York and continued with book 2 "Liam" by Ann Voss Peterson.
Patricia Rosemoor concludes the story and pulls us back in and makes us join in the search as Zachary and Rebecca work with the others . As the seek out the killer they grow closer together and have the readers reacting to every clue and scene. Originally published as an anthology in 2003.
My rating of "Zachary" is 4 out of 5 stars.
Zachary is the last book in the New Orleans Magic series. And as promised I went and started the series over and completed Zachary story at long last. In Liam's story, I thought I knew who the individual was circumventing executing the supporter on Jordan's life partner bistro. Obviously, it was quite recently starry-eyed thinking on my part, since I didn't care for the one character.
On the off chance that I needed to pick which book out of the three I preferred it would be this book. I think because it had better character development and out of the three brothers I like Zachary better.
Independently each book merits the evaluations that I provided for them. Be that as it may, all in all, only two stars for series.
