When Rendan ended I wasn’t sure how the author was going to solve the issue with the pregnant uncurious women and Zadri becoming her mate even after he tore out the throat of her previous possible mate.
I love the Preor dragons and world. This twist was unique and I was curious as to how it would work out. The author surprised me.
Delaney she comes from a twisted and messed up family. She had strength and backbone. She knew what she needed to do to protect her unborn child. As for Zadri well he is orphaned and unwanted. Learning about this other side of Preor was hard, but it helped. I felt sad for Delaney and Zadri was sweet.
The romance built nicely and was very sweet. I liked this couple. I will say their where some predictable moments, but that was ok for me.
Zadri was an enjoyable read in the Dragons of Preor series.

So. Delaney is human, pregnant, single, and basically widowed since her first mate met an untimely end at the hands of Zadri. To say she needs a little time to work her head around that is pretty much a given. And Zadri was...super sweet. I mean, he still had that strong, powerful, dominant alien thing going for him, but he had this sweet side that slayed me. Like, the guy was just so painfully grateful to have found a mate he was willing to go to any lengths to make her happy.
Given the circumstances of his early life, I could understand where he was coming on EVERYTHING. Including his insistence that Delaney's parents be given the respect he thought they deserved. Once Delaney explained things (and that took a while, to be honest), he understood why she was so standoffish with her parents and...well, communication is important, man. It's important.
I like these alien dragons. I like that Zadri protected his mate and loved her baby regardless of who had sired it. I liked that he showed compassion to someone who'd done a serious wrong to him and Delaney. I guess what I'm getting at is that these dragons work for me. Dark, dangerous urges and everything.

Zadri is the Preor in the last book (book 4) that helps Redan get his mate back from an evil Preor who unbeknownst to Zadri was his twin. Zadri has one wing that is smaller/shorter than the other & his parents immediately got rid of him.
Delaney's cruel parents have been emotionally abusing her for years & when her mother wanted Delaney to have an abortion she rebelled & left to see if she could find a Preor mate. & she did she found Zadri.
At 1st Zadri didn't understand why Delaney didn't want her parents around but near the end of the book he does; Luzan another Preor warrior unfortunately believed the lies that Delaney's parents told him & he tried on at least 2 occasions to take her off the ship & back to her parents because he so desperately wanted a mate too.
Though you will have to read the book to find out what happens; all I will say is that this was a very good book.
All of the characters are fully fleshed they have personalities , there's more to the story than just going from sex scene to sex scene there's a plot and a story line. I know in this day and age those can be hard to come by ,but they're some of the things you can look forward to in Celia Kyle's books.
She's a great author and no I'm not going to tell you what the books about. Read it you'll enjoy it. If I tell you the story then why bother to buy the book? It's a great book, BUT. Now I need to know about Argan the beautiful yellow Preoran. Soon please and I'm sure their are other shipmates of theirs to write about. Maybe even the Ujal could get a few new stories. Thanks

The book is well written and contains plenty of humour alongside the steamier bits. It's highly entertaining. I love the Preor and I hope there will be plenty more books in the series.
