I just bought one of these, and as of today, 10/16/2012, they are indeed shipping the correct product, and not the microphone accessory.

Simply put, it works. I now have 4 fans powered by 1 molex connector. The black connectors provide more power than the white, so to some extent you can control fan speed in this way as well.

Seems durable enough. I'm happy, enough said.

I used this to add fans to a computer whose motherboard only had one case fan port and it works great! I do have a few complaints though.

- The ports themselves are not labeled. If you look at the color of the cables, you can see the voltage of them though. Since 5v is red and 12v is yellow, I've determined that the white connectors are the slower 5v power option and the black connectors are the full speed 12v option.
- The cables are and the connectors are colored; I would have preferred them to be all black. I know I used them to determine their power but the manufacturer could have just embossed labels on the fan connectors. I would suggest running your fan cables behind the motherboard and keeping this there behind the motherboard tray so it's not visible if you're concerned about aesthetics like I am. ;)

I haven't connected four fans at once to this, but I don't think it would be a problem.

Works as advertised, good price. I like the split voltage 5/12V feature so I can run two fans at half RPM and two at full speed. Helps where MOBO is short on fan headers, also one less load on MOBO traces. Connectors seem rugged enough. Most POS have an extra Molex to use for this.

I bought CPU case and it came with 6 fans all with 3 pin connectors. While searching for options, I came across this multi-connector splitter. It can connect two fans at 12 volt and 2 at 5 volts. Great option when you have plenty of power and no option to connect.

this is the perfect adapter to add fans to any system, legacy or current. I bought this to add a couple of exhaust fans to my Dell Dimension E510 as it had no fan headers on the motherboard for me to hook up any fans.

Since I decided to keep costs down on the parts for my first computer build from scratch, I ended up with a Micro ATX motherboard. The problem? There's only one connection on the motherboard for my three case fans. This little piece resolved my issues.

The black connectors appear to have a bit more juice running through them, pushing the fans at full speed, while the white connectors run the same fans at lower RPMs.

Awesome way to control the fan speed if you want to set fans to low. Allows dual fans to be set to 5v or 12v or 4 fans 2 at 12v and 2 at 5v. Only way to make it better is change the molex connector to a SATA.

Finicky to get to to work properly. The slightest bump or if it's just not sitting right will cause it to disconnect power to the fans. So before you close up your case, you better make sure that you're getting power to the fans.
