Product looked great out of the package. Nice feel for the price. Lots of points to put on a tripod and add accessories. When I clamped my phone in there was no way to get it tight enough to hold. It just slipped right out. I tried again and again and even when I finally thought I had it right my phone fell and broke the back glass. Not happy at all. The rubber has zero grip. The clamp is not spring loaded and no matter how tight you out it the phone just slides right out. Poor design. Now I have a broken phone.

If you use this for tripods with the phone in landscape, you will be alright with this. As other reviewers have said, this mount has absolutely no grip on your phone and it will slide out. It doesn’t matter how hard you squeeze it together while you tighten the nut, it will not hold onto your phone. The only way I have had moderate success was when using an Otter Box and a Spec case. The phone itself and any case that has a smooth surface will not hold in this mount. I would never use this mount for portrait filming or photography. I bought it primarily for the mounts, which work well for lights and mics. I’m not sure if my lights have a slightly larger base or the mounts on this rig are a little small, but they do not fit well in the cold shoe mounts. The mic fits fine, but buyer beware that some cold shoe mounts are not going to fit quite right in this.

A very good option to hold your cell phone while recording video or taking pictures. The material is plastic and not aluminum so keep that in mind. It will not be as sturdy as an aluminum rig would be but it is much lighter.
It has plenty of hot shoe slots and several 1/4" holes for recieving any number or combination of accessories and mounts like lights and mics.
The cell phone holder expands generously, enough to allow me to fit my Nexus 6 (which has a big 6" display) without any issues and would probably even hold something a little bigger like a photo monitor in the 6 to 7 inch range.
Very comfortable to hold and should make steady shooting a breeze along with smoothing out panning and sweeping shots by hand.
The only draw back I would give it is it's construction material choice of plastic. You will have to be a bit gentler with this as opposed to a rig made from aluminum.
All in all, I say go for it. The price is right. I will be reviewing this on my YouTube channel "Hayes Tech and Rom Reviews" soon in case you want to see a video of this prodct.

It's exactly what the picture shows and using a phone case or removing it will probably help you with the fit of your phone in the rig. It's secure for me on two different phones as long as I have the case on it. So they probably planned for it to be used this way. It's a good piece for you to start with.

I’m using this with my iPhone 11 Max. It already has great image stabilization, but this rig makes it sooo much better to operate while walking or even running.
I love that I can add a mic or light on top. I like that I can mount a tripod plate from either the bottom or the wife for vertical filming/photography.
It’s super simply but quite effective.

Amazing. My phone is set to be really sensitive and this keeps me away from from the screen and the annoyance of blocking your own camera. Bonus are the cold shoe mounts that have not used yet but tested with old camera flash and fits well.
Only problem is if you plan on using one of those pebble like phones (really curved edges) it may be tricky as the clamps are flat although somewhat rubberised will not be entirely steady.
