I just returned from a trip to Mexico City and Guadalajara where I rode all kinds of things in all kinds of weather for 3 months- I brought an extra set just in case but I didn't need them- though I did finally change them when I got home to the fresh set to go to Uruguay and South America with soon. I rode though huge puddles as well as crap and gunk everyday, but only one wheel was slightly slower when I got back, and I had already rode those bearings for like a year before that. I swear these are the best bearings ever and last and last; finally I had a set freeze up on me the day after riding in Arlington WA in the rain and totally submerging my entire set up doing a half marathon but that has been it for the last 6 or so years since I started riding these bearings as far as problems which is damn good. Also they eliminate the need for spacers and rings- a necessity to protect your bearings typically for sliding down hills and all the sideways forces, which makes any roadside tire adjustments easier and the bearings themselves are sturdier I think.

Slow break in. Smooth as butter after a month

I use these bearings in an Onda board (7" wheels) so they don't have nearly as many revolutions per mile compared to standard Longboard wheels. When these bearings are new, they do have a ton of resistance compared to reds or even most stock bearings. They seemed to be especially stiff in cold weather. I had to wait a few weeks of casual riding before noticing some longer cruising distances. Once they are fully broken in, they glide effortlessly. They seem to have less resistance than my previous reds bearings and riding through the occasional puddles hasn't don't them any harm.

Got tired of cleaning bearings on the regular and decided to buy a set dedicated to longboarding and long cruising and was recommended this brand.
Out of the box, this set rolls VERY quiet - like, no sound which is a high plus! Took long rides to break in the bearings to loosen up the very thick layer of nano ceramic grease inside (take a look for yourself..) and it rides like a dream. Not super fast, but it rolls very steadily which I think is what really matters - longevity. The thick grease I believe is deliberately put in such quantity to extend roll speed, repel water, and help in heat performance.
The design with the Integrated spacers and extended washer makes for swapping wheels a breeze for when you have a wet/dry or grip/slide setups. I love these bearings and will buy again!

These are all I buy now. Highly recommended by other longboard specific sites. I've used all th $75 to $150 bearings. These are just as good or better and require no maintenance. Use for 6months to 1yr, then trash and buy another pair for under $15 bucks. Wish I had figured this out $500 dollars plus EARLIER!!!!!! PS: Don't be fooled by rookie spin test. These bearing take about week to break in and are sealed on both sides to keep dirt out and special self healing lube in. NEVER clean bearings again, which is really great if you own 7 or more boards like me. To max your downhill or freeride experience, use with Rey Lite Trucks RKP and you will love love your longboard experience like never before. The Surf Rodz trucks are the best for learning to slide or just cruising - turn sharper, but not for downhill over 25 mph unless wedged in back and experienced rider. Stay safe and always wear a good helmet to protect your brain. A fall happens typically happens at slow speeds and when you are just messing around!!!!!!!! Image you are standing on concrete with head tilted back and just fall back like a tree hitting head first. This action is much faster off of a skate or longboard when you hit a rock or crack going slow. Protect your head or become permanently stupid!!! All the serious riders and pros do. Add stickers to your helmet if you don't think wearing it is cool. A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Be an example for younger skaters and your buds. Enjoy life and Google Silerfish to see what other longboarders have to say about products etc.

I cant say enough good things about these bearings. No need for a spacer, or speed ring. Makes swapping wheels a breeze and they roll for daaaaays! I'm using these right now in Afghanistan while deployed and its extremely dusty here. These just keep right on rolling. The tolerance on the shields is great and the lube they use out of the box is incredible. I was having to clean my reds every 2 weeks out here. These have rolled effortlessly for 2 months now in HARSH conditions without me having to clean them yet. Don't let the cheap price fool you, get some Zealous!
