Love the double ends, they don't bleed through the page, at least for me. They are really good for moleskine bullet journals!
The caps fit on either end, which is great!! Huge plus!!
I will say, maybe buying the 3-pack first will be a better buy, because once you buy just one, you regret not buying all three!!! :))))
- great variety of colors, love using them for all kinds of note-taking and drawings
- long lasting
- sleek and uniform, can fit easily into pencil cases
- dual-tips = versatile and useful
- coral-pink and deep-periwinkle (maybe others) might be too dark (possibly making the text obscure) depending on the applied pressure and paper
- EDIT (7/12/16) smears more than I'd like it to
- EDIT (7/12/16) the bullet and chisel tips definitely get squished and smooshed and compromises the accuracy of the highlight!
They do have a tendency to smudge the ink though (0.38 Pilot G-2), and they can smudge. This happens mostly when highlighting immediately after writing something (e.g. Gray). For the other colors, I waited until I'd finished writing them in a list before going back to highlight. I find that out of all of them, the purple one is least likely to smudge the ink. The red/ pink can be a bit too dark, so I usually reserve that for underlining definitions.
Based on the swatches, you can see that there's extra product at the end after each swipe of the highlighter. If it's still wet when you run your hand over it, it'll smear. It's fairly quick to dry though, so I find that it doesn't happen often.
Layering over these will create a darker shade (I also used them for my bullet journal, sometimes coloring in headers for my monthly calendar spreads), so I don't see how they'd be good for coloring things in. They also have a tendency to (at best) ghost on the back side of notebook paper and bleed (at worst) through it. By ghosting, I mean that looking at the back of the page, it'd evident that you've highlighted but no highlighter has actually appeared.
The swatches in my pictures are made in a planner, which is slightly thicker than the standard sheet of notebook paper.
Also the fine tip end is awesome for coloring in doodles or lettering. They don't bleed through paper, however they do smear a tiny bit if run across hand-written notes.
The packaging is very nice aswell, the pens come in a reusable plastic case, although not very sturdy, it is nice for organization and makes it easy to throw them in your bag.
I swatched each color to show how they look, and there's a smear/bleed test in the pictures. :)
