The Mildliner highlighter features a unique color that shows up softly on paper. It has just the right shade to attract your attention, but won't overwhelm you with bright fluorescence. The highlighter is double-sided with a broad and fine tip. This set contains 5 colors: Mild Blue, Mild Blue Green, Mild Yellow, Mild Orange, and Mild Pink.

1) Ink that is too dark to see through. I'm trying to highlight, not redact here....
2) Ink that bleeds through the page
3) Ink that comes out of the highlighter so heavy that it leaves a big drop of ink at the end of the stroke
These highlighters do very well with #1 and #2, but leave a little to be desired on #3. The ink is very, very mild, but also very distinct. You won't miss anything that you're highlighting, and you also won't bleed through to the other side of the page. The ink flow was a little heavy when I first got them, but after a few hours of use they dried out a little bit and are now working much better. I haven't had them long enough to comment on longevity, but I've had them long enough to say their lifespan is respectable and reasonable.
The coordinated color palate really makes your notes look nice by the time you're done marking them up. I used this recently to color code information as I went through an exam prep book and it REALLY made a huge difference having the information broken up by color codes. Everyone who saw the book was jealous.
I do have a single problem with these highlighters -- the ink takes a LONG time to dry. On the book I was highlighting, which admittedly has slick paper, these took several minutes to dry, which often felt like an eternity. Other than that I have nothing bad to say about them.
_No bleeding or wet residue
_Appropriate 5 1/2” length
The blue green color is almost the same as the blue color to me but blue and green are very similar to me - I’ve never been tested for how I see color but I would always argue with siblings that someone is green and they’d say no it’s more blue/ vice verse.
They’re pretty nice. They come on a bit wet in glossy paper (my book - see pics) but they dry pretty fast considering. I use them for homework and they work quite nicely.
I let the black permanent marker dry until rubbing the writing produced no smearing of the ink or transferring of the ink to my finger. But a light touch of the Zebra highlighter smeared the black writing across the top and transferred the black ink to the orange tip of the highlighter, turning its tip black.
Thanks to the suggestion of my chief Aide, we've now gone to permanent adhesive 1/4" florescent orange dots, which solves the problem in its entirety.
I use these for work and they are great because they are light enough so that all the colors can be used without obscuring the underlying text. I have set from another company, and I do love their product, but out of the set there were a few that were far too dark to use. No problem with that with these. They have two ends. One is like a regular chisel tip highlighter and the other is a fine point like a marker. The case stays closed so they do not get lost in the black hole that is my pen and pencil drawer. I am pleased with my purchase. They came quickly, too! I only gave four stars because I really like retractable highlighters because my thumbs hurt when I grasp and pull tops off things. (I'm falling apart so this shouldn't be a problem unless you too are falling apart, lol.) :)
However, if you're using regular notebook paper, the highlighter can bleed through where you press down harder, so you can't double-side your notes. This isn't an issue on nicer or thicker paper, however.
I've included photos with the backs and fronts of papers where I used the highlighters, the first two being regular notebook paper and the second being inside of a Green-Inspired journal.
All-in-all they're worth a buy, the issue with bleeding is only an item if you use cheap paper (like me).

Then I discovered these... They were just what I was looking for, and I am of the opinion that these are the best highlighters on the market. Firstly, whilst I call these- highlighters- they are actual duel ended- one side a highlighter, one side- a marker pen! (I don't think this is made clear in the packaging/description) A huge bonus! The colours in this set are all pastel hues and as I mentioned, are very soft and subtle, hence the name -MILDliners- this is great for adding a minimalist feel to your notes/school work/bullet journals/diaries/projects etc. Great quality all round, even the overall ascetics of these pens individually are on point:)
The packaging is faultless, I love the cute pocket size case they come in, making them ideal to pop in a handbag/pencilcase. Delivery took about 2-3 weeks or so, these pens are coming all the way from Japan though, so do bare this in mind. The company produce two other sets- a blue set (which I own) contains a selection of greys, purples and some slightly darker shades too. The yellow set contains more earthy tones such as yellows, oranges and browns- both are equally exceptional in quality. If your a fan of the pastel look though, I'd definitely go for this set as opposed to the others. They'd make great stocking fillers/birthday/back to school presents etc. for all fans of journals, stationary, note and list taking.
At just over £4 a pack these pens are a great price- a real hidden gem! I just wish this company would produce even more stationary- perhaps some fineliners or felt tips- I'm sure they'd be great for adult colouring!
Overall I'm very impressed, and would highly recommend these- 5 stars!!!
The images I've included feature an overall view of the pen, swatches of the colours in this set and some of my note-taking to give you an idea of what they'll look like:)
I gave those to a friend - wish I had kept a couple to be honest.
My set for home working has begun to dry out a bit so I tried some Bic mild lighters - the colours were awful!
I love a Bic standard 'harsh' yellow but their mild version is not not up to the Zebra ones.
Nothing beats these!
I have re-ordered just the 'go to' simple pack of 5 of these - should be arriving soon!
i feel that the pen is drying up already and the coloir is not as vibrant as the first time Ive used this whic is only
6 days ago and for this i think that this is expensive for the price.
