you get what you pay for. The first two days the sticky foam kept detaching from the lens. On the third day the elastic snapped off of the band rendering it utterly useless. I would not recommend this product.

Purchased two of these and the first one fell apart just putting it on the lens. Was trying to figure out the best place to position the strap when the elastic just unravelled! Had to be extra careful attaching the second one. Tried it once and so far so good but should have bought a better one in the first place. Don't buy this junk

The adhesive on the cap holder didn't last long. The product broke within a week. It is very cheaply made. I do not recommend this product. It is especially ineffective for longer lenses. The tension on the elastic was too much when used with a telephoto lens. It was constantly coming off.

Bought this lens cap keeper less than four months ago, it has fallen apart.
The adhesive no longer sticks, the string has broken.
The lens keeper I have for my old Nikormat has lasted 30 years, they just don't make them like they use too.
I would not recommend this product at any price.

I would not buy this product again nor would I recommend it. It peeled off the adhesive about a day after I adhered it to my lens.

I don't recommend buying this product since the adhesive lasts for a week or so, then it will fall and your lens cap won't be keeped secure anymore

Let me preface this review with a reminder of the price. You get what you pay for. Still, the product is intended to be a lens saver. They popped off my lens caps by the end of the first day and didn't save any lenses after that. Removing the small paper exposes the adhesive side of the "bud" you must press against your cap to install. The buds don't stick on very well. The opposite side of the bud has a small plastic sticker that bears a small silver circle. I'm not sure what, if any, purpose the sticker has, but it sure felt cheaply made as they were not centered and began to peel off in hours leaving the adhesive behind. In wind at Yellowstone, the dangling cap flapped about, occasionally ending up in the photo, and making videos impossible due to the noise. A small piece of velcro somewhere on the camera body, and the other on the cap could solve that. I used a drop of superglue. Problem solved, right? An hour later, the thin nylon string on two of them unraveled. Still, despite all the negatives, I feel a bit foolish complaining about something that cost less than a buck so I'll add a star for value.

This little device works. It keeps the lens-cover from being lost. The sticking tape is strong enough to adhere the cap for years. I have one purchased 20 years ago, which has the exact same design as today's product, and still adheres well!

The new generation of zoom lens has thicker body and the original design of the elastic ring can hardly allow the lens going through. Furthermore, the thread linking the adhesive head and the ring becomes too short. The metal piece connecting the thread and the ring must stand up with tense which may scratch the surface of the lens.

The new generation of camera lens-cover such as Nikon's does not have flat surface. The original size of the adhesive tape cannot find enough space on the cap to adhere itself flatly with its entire surface. This, of course, would weaken the adherence power and shorten the life span of the product.

Even a perfect product requires review and improvement from time-to-time.

Amazon's shipping is very effective. There was no shipping charge and their return policy is incredibly consumer friendly.
