I'm also quite impressed with the talk time and standby time. I talk to my parents for 40+ minutes a day during my daily commute in the LA area. I also talk to other people on it, and frankly, I have only charged it once in a few weeks, I don't know how it manages that, but it does. It uses a mini-USB type charger, so I can use not only the charger that came with it, but also my other chargers at work, in my car and everywhere else.
The over the head band is adjustable, and is quite comfortable. I shave my head bald, so many units actually hurt, but this one doesn't. I hardly even know it's on. With my old wired headset, I was comfortable enough, but it dug into my head and left marks that looked odd for several minutes after I removed it (it made for odd looks a few times...) :-)
I like the periodic BRIGHT blinking blue LEDs that let me know the unit is on, and I like that the lights blink RED when I turn it off. If I'm wearing the headset when I want to power on, or power off, I simply press and hold the power button for 5 or 6 seconds. It makes a rising set of musical notes when it powers on, or a lowering set of musical notes when it powers off, which audibly tells me what I just did in case I forget if I turned it on or off. The button is placed in an easy to find and press location in the middle of the earpiece. It also makes a "feelable" click when I press it, which is really a nice touch (no pun intended).
When the phone rings, it plays a song to notify me of the incoming call. To answer, I need only reach up and touch the on/off button for just an instant. It's the same action to hang up.
The microphone boom is well thought out as well. It is completely flexible, and can be moved or bent in any way I want. It also comes with a windscreen so I can breath or talk in wind without it affecting my conversation. I honestly haven't had the opportunity to use it in high winds, but have used it when walking and breathing hard, and my breath didn't affect the conversation even with the microphone right in front of my mouth.
The only drawback, if I could even call it that, is that the volume buttons are a bit hard to feel for with my fingertips when I'm wearing the headset. I'm getting used to it though, and finding them easy to use if I just press where I think they are and I notice the volume changing accordingly.
The design and engineering in this entire unit seems to be top notch and well thought out. It's a really good value at this price for the performance and how it's built. I almost got a different model to save money, but I am extremely happy with this one and am very glad I bought it even though it costs more than some. I anticipate this one will last a long time, and will be well worth the price.
Considering everything about this headset, I don't find the volume button issue to be enough to downgrade ANY off of a full 5 Stars. If you are waffling between this one and another, I think you'd be completely happy with this one.
When I first bought the headset, it was great. Sound quality was good, people could hear me well, very long talk time, easy to pair with both my phone and my computer. I bought several of them (one for office, home, car.)
One of the biggest problems is that the plastic supporting the headband is *really* cheap and brittle. Every one of these I've had, the plastic has cracked. There's a metal spring band underneath of the plastic but it really requres both to be comfortable and stay around your head. All three of my headsets have tape, epoxy, or glue reattaching the cheap plastic back together. .
I've also had three of the total of 5 (including a warranty replacement) headsets I've owned that have, after a few months, developed a problem with the microphone boom. After a few months, the boom won't stay elevated and falls down around your chin or neck.
Finally, the voice quality has seemed to degrade over time. When I first bought them, the people I was talking to all said the voice quality was great. Now, I'm told that all of them sound pretty muffled. There are no such problems when using another Bluetooth headset with my iphone or land line, so I'm pretty confident the issue is with the Zelher.
Now... Zelher support has been great. When I've written in about the problems, they've been very willing to replace the headbands, and the unit with the falling boom. But it gets expensive and annoying to have to keep sending them back.
Also, the price has varied wildly. For a while, Amazon was selling these for $20, and I grabbed several at that price, and if they hold up a year, then it's not a bad value. At $40, I'm a lot less willing to put up with the problems I've had.
I think this product has the potential to be a great product if the manufacturer in China put a little more attention to quality and longevity of the device in designing it. I was told that a new model was coming out, but I haven't seen any sign of it yet.
The battery life is amazing! I have used this since December and have yet to charge it other than the initial charge. The trick is to turn it off when you are not wearing it.
For the people who reviewed this and said that it broke too easily, impossible unless you were pulling on it to stretch it out. It is made of plastic so one needs to be gentle when fitting it to your head and not ripping it off when you are done with it.
The only con that I would give this product is that it doesn't come with an extra foam cover for the mouth piece. Even though mine is still perfect I am waiting for the day that my cat finds it and thinks it is a toy. If it rips I don't know how I will get a new cover. Other than that this product is worth every penny and perfect for the busy person who needs hands free talking. Whether you are a commuter, a truck driver, a stay at home parent or retired, this Bluetooth headset is perfect for you.

sometimes I have difficulty hearing through it though but people say they can hear me well when I use it.
