The weight is perfect, not to heavy & not to light.
The lights aren't so bright they hurt your eyes but bright enough you won't miss the mouse in the dark. It's perfect
I have purchased this for review and all opinions are my own.
The F15 Zelotes is amazing with the features, comfort, and economy pricing. There is a lot to this little mouse design. Comfort and convenience is obvious from the gamer design. The placement of the buttuns is accessable but still out of the way. The settings switches on the bottom are seldom used so that is just fine by me.
The DPI, or Speed is adjustable from 1000 up to 2500 which is my ususal default. Polling rate is a little more tricky. I just set to 500Mhz and forget it. This is how often the mouse is "checked" by the computer. For the most part the slower rate would be fine. Intricate detail work in a high resolution graphic you might want that higher polling rate so you can stop on that one pixel you just could not hit before. On the polling switch is a third position to set the mouse and a multimedia controller. The center wheel becomes the volume, page forward is previous, page back is next, etc. This could be handy if your connected to your Kodi box and not ready to jump up to the keys to work the audio and streaming media, just switch it to mm and back to standard when your finished. I was really quite surprised to see so many features in a budget series mouse.
The last happy surprise I ran across was the power pack. This takes two AA batteries which are 1.5-1.7 volts wired parallel for 3V. The 14500 lithium battery is a 3V rechargeable battery that can easily outlive five pair alkalyn AA batteries for around 700 cycles. So you could put one in to substitute for two AA and go for months lights and all. The F15 also has circuitry built in for power conservation. A few minutes of innactivy and it snoozes, 30 minutes of activity and it hybernates. Just a darn impressive package IMHO.
The colors also randomly stopped cycling a few weeks back and it only pulses on red (its not the movement sensor, which others have mentioned in their reviews as muddying the colors and I noticed when I first got it; only the red LED in the set seems to work any more). Despite trying the color change button combinations that worked before, I can only turn the light on and off.
On top of that I found out recently, while trying to change the DPI to better suit a game I was playing, that my mouse only has one DPI setting. I've tried the button combination from the very sparse manual in games and out of games on the desktop, and there's only one setting in what feels like the 1200-1600 DPI range.
I tried this mouse because 1) it was super cheap ($15!) during a time where I was a little short on money, 2) it had super high reviews for such a budget peripheral, 3) had most of the features I want in a mouse so it was "good enough", and 4) I had recently come off some serious build quality and longevity disappointment with multiple high profile mice manufacturers, and wanted to try ANY brand besides the big boys on the market.
I guess I re-learned the lessons sometimes cheap is TOO cheap, and there's a reason you've never heard of a company. The hunt for an even adequate mouse is back on...
Very substantial and attractive packaging
Adjustable DPI and polling rate
Can be used with rechargeable batteries and charged with the included USB cable
